- A new LEGO Ideas submission titled “Earthset” reimagines the latest lunar mission as a framed brick-built poster
- The proposed set acts as a conceptual sequel to astronaut Bill Anders’ iconic 1968 space photograph
- The build incorporates bright art print styling alongside a tribute to the modern Artemis II spacecraft and its crew
LEGO Ideas is blending space and home decor with a new design called “Earthset” by creator BuildingDreams. It’s a tribute to the recent push to return to the Moon, specifically celebrating the Artemis II mission, and is designed to look like the iconic photos from the Apollo missions.
The “Earthset” artwork is designed to look like a traditional, vibrant print, framed with a clean, bold border. It measures 32cm high, 48cm wide, and 2.8cm deep. The artist carefully chose brick colors to recreate the look and feel of a real photograph. This attention to detail in both size and presentation makes it a perfect display piece, especially for those who love space exploration and want to bring a piece of aerospace history into their home.
Beyond its technical design, this project builds on the history of lunar exploration. It’s a follow-up to our previous “Earthrise” project, aiming to recreate the same cultural impact as the famous photo taken by astronaut Bill Anders during the Apollo 8 mission 58 years ago. The design intentionally includes the modern Artemis II spacecraft and its crew, connecting the spirit of the early space race with today’s achievements.
