This Is Us star Milo Ventimiglia welcomes first child after losing home in fire
This Is Us star Milo Ventimiglia and his wife Jarah Mariano have welcomed their first child.
Mariano shared some wonderful news on Instagram, not long after they had unfortunately lost their home to the fires in Los Angeles a few weeks prior.
In the caption of a picture, she wrote, “Without a home, but always having one,” as she posed with her newborn daughter, Ke’ala Coral Ventimiglia, and Ventimiglia cradling their pet dog’s paw.
On January 7th, Mariano and his family had to flee due to the Palisades Fire. Unfortunately, the house we were residing in along with all our belongings were destroyed, as was another house we were almost ready to move into that was under construction.
I was 38 weeks into my pregnancy, and just a short while ago, I had to evacuate due to the Franklin Fire. Interestingly, this experience served as a kind of rehearsal for what was soon to happen. I consider it a fortunate occurrence.
I’m equally thankful that we managed to leave ahead of the Palisades Fire during the day. This allowed us to be better prepared and less taken aback, unlike if it had happened at night.
The model reassured fans by letting them know that she, along with her loved ones, are feeling well, content, and secure – and that’s what truly counts.
She also expressed heartfelt gratitude towards all the brave individuals who fight fires, as well as those who provide ongoing care to those impacted by the aftermath in the following years.
For many, this period of rebuilding and mourning is likely to be lengthy, yet we remain hopeful and motivated by the prospect of embracing all the novelty that comes with our new beginning!
Mariano expressed gratitude at the end for those helping her family through tough times, stating that their “kindness and giving” hold immense significance.
Just wanted to kindly ask everyone for some understanding as we take this time to bond with our newborn during this delicate period. We are fortunate to have plenty of resources at hand, and we will return with updates when we feel ready.
