As a longtime fan of this incredible artist, I can say that Mary J Blige is nothing short of a legend in the music industry. From her collaborations with heavyweights like Dr Dre and Eminem, to her acting roles alongside stars like Tom Cruise and Jennifer Love Hewitt, she has truly left an indelible mark on both the music and acting worlds.

She is an Oscar nominee and Grammy winner too with an incredible resume.

The musician hailing from New York boasts a multitude of chart-topping tunes due to her collaborations with Dr. Dre, Eminem, and the legendary Aretha Franklin.

And she is still going strong as she has a new album out this month.

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that this captivating figure graced the screen alongside Tom Cruise in the movie “Rock of Ages,” and held her own when paired with Jennifer Love Hewitt on the television series “Ghost Whisperer.

And she had a part of Trolls World Tour with Justin Timberlake and Kelly Clarkson. 

On Tuesday, the artist spotted in New York City with red hair and wearing a fur coat was virtually unidentifiable.

Who is this 53-year-old hitmaker?

She is Mary J Blige.

The Emmy winner was spotted headed into CBS studios, where she was scheduled to promote her new Gratitude album and her upcoming tour. 

The artist underwent a significant change in appearance due to her vibrant, orange-red hair, which harmoniously accentuated the warmth in her skin tone.

The My Life singer looked glamorous in a sparkling dark amber jacket and matching pants.

She covered up in a fur coat and carried a large black leather hand bag. 

In larger-than-life platinum earrings and multiple bracelets adorned her, while she sported diamond rings on both hands – the woman known for “The Real Love” song.

Blige’s makeup looked camera ready with a neutral lip. 

Last week, the singer and songwriter announced new dates for the For My Fans tour, which is scheduled to kick off in late January.

Ne-Yo and Mario will be the opening acts on the tour which will crisscross North America. 

The album “Gratitude,” launched on November 15th, hasn’t been as successful as her past releases, managing to sell around 5,000 copies. This is surprising given that its lead single, “Breathing,” reached number one on the Adult R&B charts, based on Lipstick Alley reports.

The disc came out through Blige’s private label, Mary Jane, and also in partnership with 300 Entertainment.

Despite the lackluster sales, ardent fans remain eagerly anticipating the upcoming tour.

The album fared significantly better in that country, reaching number 10 on the UK R&B Albums chart, as opposed to its performance in the U.S. where it didn’t fare quite as well.
