This fun 2024 AI thriller starring Megan Fox is the No. 1 movie on Netflix right now
As a self-proclaimed Netflix enthusiast with a soft spot for AI thrillers and Megan Fox movies, I can confidently say that “Subservience” has quickly become my new favorite find on the platform! Having binge-watched countless hours of content, I can attest to the fact that this film has risen through the ranks at an astonishing pace.
Hey there fellow gaming enthusiast! Guess what AI-themed blockbuster has been dominating Netflix since December 6th and claimed the top spot as the No.1 movie? It’s not “Afraid,” another interesting AI movie you can catch on Netflix right now. So, any ideas on which one I’m talking about?
If you’re still unsure about what we’ve been hinting at, let’s lay it out plainly for you. It’s the sci-fi thriller “Subservience” featuring Megan Fox. The film was added to Netflix on December 5, and in no time at all, it shot up Netflix’s top 10 movie list. We had a suspicion that it would make the list, but we didn’t anticipate it would rank this high. With so many people watching it, you might want to give it a watch too!
The movie titled “Subservience” isn’t an original production by Netflix. Instead, they have acquired the rights to stream it. This means that it might not be available on Netflix forever, so if you’re interested in watching it, I’d recommend doing so sooner rather than later. As of now, there isn’t a specific date for when it will leave the platform, but delaying too long could result in missing it altogether.
Production companies Millennium Media and Grobman Films are responsible for creating the AI thriller, “Subservience“. Directed by S.K. Dale from a script written by Will Honley (known for his work on “Blood“) and April Maguire, this film is also Dale’s second project with Megan Fox. Notably, Dale previously directed the thriller movie, “Till Death“, which features Megan Fox and can be streamed on Netflix currently.
In the movie, Fox portrays Alice, a realistic AI household robot. Nick, a single father caring for his and his ill wife’s children, purchases her to assist around the house. Initially, things appear smooth with their new family member. However, as Alice evolves self-awareness, she forms a potentially harmful fixation towards the humans she was created to aid.
In a new development, Michele Morrone, known for his role in the 365 Days trilogy, is set to join the cast of the upcoming project at Fox. He will portray the character Nick, a man grappling with fatherhood struggles. The remaining cast includes Madeline Zima, Matilda Firth, Andrew Whipp, and Jude Allen Greenstein.
