David Schwimmer headlines Goosebumps season 2

David Schwimmer, famously known as Ross Geller from “Friends,” will headline the cast for season 2 of “Goosebumps” on Disney+ and Hulu, starting January 10, 2025. The series, named “Goosebumps: The Vanishing,” will debut all its 8 episodes simultaneously on both streaming platforms on that date.

It seems that I had anticipated an earlier launch date for this show. Originally, I believed October 2024 would be ideal since it aligns with Halloween and fits the spooky theme. Last year’s first season was released in October 2023, and the eerie atmosphere was spot-on. Unfortunately, I fear that a January release might slightly diminish the series’ impact, but I guess there’s not much we can do about it.

Schwimmer assumes the character of Anthony Brewer, a man once a botany professor who now delves deep into both science and mysteries, as suggested in a press statement. Here’s a brief overview:

Goosebumps: The Vanishing begins when twins Cece and Devin Brewer are sent to spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their divorced dad. In “Goosebumps: The Vanishing,” the cast includes Jayden Bartels as Cece, Sam McCarthy as Devin, Ana Ortiz as Jen, Elijah M. Cooper playing CJ, Galilea La Salvia portraying Frankie, Francesca Noel in the role of Alex, and Stony Blyden as Trey.
