The combat is classic turn-based, so it feels super familiar and satisfying. It’s a neat mix of everything I enjoy in a retro RPG.

In this game, you’ll build a team of Metal Hunters who pilot tanks and complete missions across a vast world. The developer noted on the Steam page that Metal Hunter is a unique experiment inspired by Japanese Role-Playing Games (JRPGs). Originally started as a project in 2012, it was put aside and then revisited, which explains why it’s available as a free game instead of a paid one.
