New “darkly comedic thriller” Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed has confirmed a major casting update.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the forthcoming Apple TV+ series has now confirmed Tatiana Maslany, best known for her roles in ‘She-Hulk’ and ‘Orphan Black’, to headline the cast.

It’s now known that she’ll have Jake Johnson from “New Girl” joining her, portraying the character named Karl.

The half-hour show is characterized as a “humorously tragic mystery” that follows the story of a recently divorced mother who gets entangled in a perilous world of extortion, homicide, and competitive youth soccer.

The Citadel series is overseen by its creator David J Rosen, who serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Mythic Quest’s David Gordon Green takes charge of directing and producing in an executive capacity. Simon Kinberg from X-Men and Audrey Chon of Oldboy are also involved in the show, serving as executive producers alongside Rosen and Green.

The movie chronicles the story of a duo named Malcolm and Liz, who venture to a remote cabin. However, once Malcolm returns to the city, it’s Liz who must confront an ominous entity all by herself.
