This Conor McGregor fan art is something you have to see to believe
As a lifelong UFC enthusiast who’s attended more fights than I can count, I must say that The Maki Master’s sushi portrait of Conor McGregor is nothing short of mind-blowing! It’s not every day you see your favorite fighter immortalized in such a unique and tasty medium.
Notably renowned mixed martial artist Conor McGregor, a two-time UFC champion, is undeniably one of the sport’s greatest icons. As a result, he frequently becomes the subject of artistic expressions such as paintings, murals, tattoos, and sculptures. However, this recent fan art could very well be the most inventive and outlandish tribute we have ever encountered.
A creative individual known as The Maki Master crafts intricate portrait sculptures out of sushi components, fashioning them into sushi rolls. The detail in these works is astounding, yet their lifespan is limited due to the use of perishable materials.
The Maki Master shared his McGregor portrait plus a video on the process and McGregor even commented on it (but in typical McGregor fashion, that’s been deleted). Take a look at the piece below.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve been marveling at the incredible artwork of this artist known as Maki Master. This guy has created a variety of celebrity portraits – from Robin Williams and Adam Sandler to Taylor Swift, Bob Marley, and even my fellow podcast host Joe Rogan. You can see his amazing work on Twitter and his website. His passion for combat sports is evident when you watch his video analysis on the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul artwork, making me believe he’s not just an artist but a fan of sports as well.
Despite not stepping into the ring for almost four years, McGregor’s star power remains undiminished, as evident by recent events. Initially planned to make a comeback this year against Michael Chandler, an injury delayed his fight, and it has yet to be rescheduled. Nevertheless, McGregor expresses his eagerness to fight in December, though Dana White appears skeptical about his return happening before 2025.
