They Suck!
A week ago, Jeff Bezos, the founder and current executive chairman of Amazon, tied the knot with media personality Lauren Sanchez in Venice, Italy. This grand occasion was graced by many prominent figures such as Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Tobey Maguire, Lady Gaga, and others. Conspicuously absent from the guest list was Charlize Theron, which became apparent through her remarks regarding Bezos and Sanchez. The extravagant wedding is said to have cost approximately $50 million.
During a speech at the fifth annual event for Charlize Theron’s Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP), an organization she runs, the topic of discussion shifted towards the Bezos/Sánchez wedding. This event was held to gather funds for the wellbeing and security of the youth in South Africa, her native country. As the conversation delved into how turbulent the world seems this year, Theron expressed her thoughts about the recent Bezos/Sánchez nuptials on Saturday night, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
It appears that we weren’t among those invited to Jeff Bezos’ wedding, but no worries! They may not be our cup of tea, while we certainly are the epitome of coolness.

That Time Charlize Theron’s Kids Hated Her Old Guard 2 Mullet So Much They Cried
Charlize Theron made a brief appearance in Apple TV+’s The Studio, and the co-creator found her single line to be exceptionally cool or impressive, referring to it as “the most baller thing ever.
Prior to Charlize Theron addressing the audience about global societal regressions, such as halted HIV and AIDS programs in South Africa due to foreign aid reductions, her subtle criticism towards Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez added a touch of levity to the event. While it’s likely that Theron feels the pangs of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) like many others, this high-profile wedding was an exception for her.
Over the weekend of June 26-28, I had the privilege of attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding in the enchanting city of Venice. The event was spread across various locations, making it a truly memorable experience. Some other famous faces who graced the occasion included Khloé Kardashian, who turned heads in a figure-hugging dress, Kylie Jenner, whose outfit had fans buzzing, Leonardo DiCaprio, and his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, whose vintage gown unfortunately got torn. Bezos and Sanchez have been an item since 2018, when they found themselves in a relationship while both were still married.
Although Charlize Theron wasn’t able to mingle with other stars at the overseas wedding, it seemed that the CTAOP block party was an enjoyable event in its own right. For instance, Reneé Rapp dropped by to perform her 2023 song “Tummy Hurts” and her latest single “Mad.” Theron’s co-stars from “The Old Guard 2,” including KiKi Layne, Henry Golding, and Marwan Kenzari, were also present. Notably, Theron and Layne teamed up with host Sean Evans for a live rendition of “Hot Ones” and the highest bidder from that evening’s fundraising auction.
On July 2nd (Wednesday), you’ll be able to stream “The Old Guard 2” where Charlize Theron returns as Andy, also known as Andromache of Scythia. Next year, she will portray Circe in Christopher Nolan’s movie adaptation of “The Odyssey”.
