There’s only one way to see the first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s new epic with stacked cast

You can only find the trailer for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming cinematic interpretation of a Greek epic by following a single path.

The director behind “Oppenheimer” is preparing to lead the adaptation of “The Odyssey,” a narrative inspired by the ancient Greek epic poem ascribed to Homer.

Featuring Matt Damon, Zendaya, and Tom Holland, the film titled “The Odyssey” narrates the tale of a king named Odysseus as he embarks on his long voyage back to Ithaca after the Trojan War.

Instead of finding the initial trailer for the movie online, you’ll have a chance to see it beforehand, as it will be displayed alongside Jurassic World: Rebirth in selected cinemas around the globe, giving fans an early sneak peek at Christopher Nolan’s latest masterpiece.

In theatres starting tomorrow is the newest addition to the Jurassic World movie series, which has garnered varied responses from critics and currently holds a mediocre 53% rating on review aggregators.

It’s uncertain at this point whether the trailer for “The Odyssey” will appear in UK theatres, given that it hasn’t received a rating from the British Board of Film Classification yet.

In the United Kingdom, it’s mandatory to submit any full-length movies, short films, or trailers intended for cinema screenings to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), unless an exception is given by the local council.

The upcoming film, “The Odyssey,” is set to make cinematic history by being the initial commercial feature to be filmed entirely using IMAX movie cameras.

At Cannes Film Festival, IMAX’s CEO Rich Gelfond addressed the crowd, sharing that a year prior to Chris commencing work on The Odyssey, he had contacted him with an ambitious plan: creating an entire film using IMAX cameras. However, there were numerous obstacles and complications that made this idea difficult to execute at the time.

He reminded himself of Nolan saying, “‘I’ll offer you a task. If you manage to find solutions for these issues, I’ll create Odyssey entirely with IMAX cameras,’ and we’ve successfully tackled those challenges.

He went on to say that this upcoming movie is going to be the very first one, entirely filmed using IMAX cameras. Furthermore, director Nolan compelled them to adapt and change various aspects of their filmmaking business.

The cast is rounded out by Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o, and Robert Pattinson.

The Odyssey is released in the UK on July 17, 2026. A UK release date has not been confirmed

The inaugural print magazine from Digital Spy, titled “British Comedy Legends,” is available now! You can purchase it at local newsagents or online for only £3.99.
