There's a tourist trap in FBI: International season 4, episode 5 (Preview)

As a seasoned gamer and avid television viewer with over two decades of entertainment consumption under my belt, I must confess that the promo for FBI: International season 4, episode 5 has piqued my curiosity. It’s not often that I come across a tourist trap as intriguing as this one.

As a gamer, I’ve learned that falling for ‘gamer traps’ can happen when exploring new virtual worlds. But let me tell you, the tourist traps I encountered on my latest vacation were nothing like the high-stakes scams depicted in episode 5 of FBI: International season 4!

Reflect on your past vacations. Tour guides often advise steering clear of specific locations or refraining from spending money in particular spots, as these tend to be “tourist traps.” In other words, they are places where you might end up paying far too much for an item that has little to no value.

In essence, “FBI: International” will present an unusual kind of travel danger that it’s best to steer clear of.

Who is luring tourists in FBI: International season 4, episode 5?

At the onset of the promotion, we learn that the Fly Team is journeying to their next destination because an elderly man named _______ has disappeared. The program then shows a scene where this gentleman meets a captivating young woman.

To put it simply, when I observe a younger person attracting an older one, my initial suspicion arises that something underhanded is at play. This isn’t about physical attraction, but rather a particular lifestyle they might be after. In such situations, I often think of them as gold diggers. However, in this case, it seems to be far more grave.

A man was seized, seemingly enticed by a woman who then led him away. Although it’s still believed to be financially driven, the circumstances suggest a different underlying motive than initially thought. The woman claiming responsibility for the man’s capture hinted at unknown associations, displaying obvious fear. Could this be connected to organized crime? It certainly appears that way.

In the current state, it’s challenging to predict the full storyline since we only have the promotional material available so far. However, the upcoming episode will showcase the Fly Team in action for us. Here’s a sneak peek at the fifth episode of FBI: International’s fourth season:

FBI: International airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
