There’s a new “high octane” and “cutthroat” British-set drama on the way from the boss of Power

A new British-set drama is officially in the works from Power boss Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson.

In the heart of London, the action-packed series “Fightland” unfolds. This gripping tale centers around an ex-convict, a once-acclaimed boxing champ, who embarks on a mission for retribution against the criminal syndicate he believes double-crossed him.

As reported by Deadline, this intense and ruthless series, titled “Fightland,” explores themes of redemption, deception, and relentless ambition, both within and beyond the confines of the ring. With a roster of treacherous characters, Fightland promises to keep its audience on the edge of their seats with suspenseful drama.

Actor and rapper Jackson is set to take on the role of executive producer for the project, marking his debut in producing an international television series with his own company, G-Unit Film & Television.

Jackson expressed his eagerness to infuse a worldwide energy onto the screen, stating he expects this project to surpass any previous accomplishments; the raw intensity of boxing will elevate its success.

The crime drama on Starz has received official approval for eight episodes, and filming is set to start this fall in London.

As a devoted fan, I can proudly say that Starz is where I find the thrilling “Power” universe, which includes the original series “Power” (2014), the spin-off “Power Book II: Ghost” (2020), the prequel “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” (2021), and the latest addition, “Power Book IV: Force” (2022).

In the TV series, executive producer Jackson takes on the role of Kanan Stark, a character who was once a drug lord and mentor but later becomes an adversary to main characters Ghost and Tommy. Additionally, Jackson’s character serves as the lead in the prequel spin-off “Raising Kanan,” which is set in the ’90s and features Mekai Curtis portraying a younger version of Kanan Stark.

Simultaneously, another series set within the Power universe is also being worked on. Last year, a prequel titled Power: Origins was announced, focusing on the characters Ghost and Tommy as they climb the ladder of power in the treacherous realm of drug trafficking.
