There are some fantastic competition series currently available, and Hulu is set to introduce a fresh new addition: “Dress My Tour” premieres on July 23, 2024. The number of episodes and their release schedule remain undisclosed for now, but we’ll be kept in the loop soon enough!

In this reality competition show, eleven hopeful fashion designers are challenged to create outfits for some of the biggest names in music. Time Bandits

Release date: Wednesday, July 24 on Apple TV+

Lisa Kudrow, known for her role in “Friends,” has been away from major projects recently. I’m thrilled, though, as she’s set to appear in the upcoming family-friendly production “Time Bandits.” Although it caters more to younger audiences, the presence of Taika Waititi from “Our Flag Means Death” makes it a must-watch! The premiere of “Time Bandits” begins on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on July 24. The 10-episode series will then release two episodes weekly until its finale. Here’s the schedule:

  • Episode 1 – July 24
  • Episode 2 – July 24
  • Episode 3 – July 31
  • Episode 4 – July 31
  • Episode 5 – Aug. 7
  • Episode 6 – Aug. 7
  • Episode 7 – Aug. 14
  • Episode 8 – Aug. 14
  • Episode 9 – Aug. 21
  • Episode 10 – Aug. 21

In this captivating fantasy tale, the story revolves around an 11-year-old boy named Kevin, who feels like an outsider among his schoolmates. One day, he encounters a band of time-traveling misfits who whisk him away on extraordinary journeys through history. Together, they explore breathtaking wonders such as encountering dinosaurs, witnessing the Trojan Horse, and experiencing the Ice Age. Their mission: to save not only the world but also Kevin’s concerned parents.

Dirty Pop: The Boy Band Scam

Release date: Wednesday, July 24 on Netflix

In the realm of acting and music, it’s been a long string of disappointments and unfortunate realities concerning how children actors and artists have been treated. The price of fame is steep, they say. Yet it shouldn’t be this way. Consider the stories in “Quiet on Set” on Max as examples – outrageous tales that were all too common. And while Hollywood and the entertainment industry have made progress, they still have a long way to go.

Netflix’s upcoming docuseries, titled “Dirty Pop: The Boy Band Scandal,” is set to debut on July 24. The number of episodes hasn’t been disclosed by the streaming service yet. This documentary delves into the life of former talent manager Lou Pearlman, who played a pivotal role in kick-starting the careers of notable music artists such as The Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, and Britney Spears. However, it’s important to note that Pearlman was simultaneously running a Ponzi scheme. According to the synopsis, “Dirty Pop: The Boy Band Scam” will unravel Pearlman’s complex web of deceit, shedding light on the darker side of fame, power, manipulation, and avarice.

The Decameron

Release date: Thursday, July 25

I find “The Decameron” intriguing with its entertaining and historical backdrop, making it an appealing choice for me. Its premiere date is set for Thursday, July 25, with all eight episodes available on Netflix at once. Though the story may seem outrageous at times, its humor keeps me engaged.

During the Black Death outbreak in Florence, Italy, 1348, several nobles choose to leave the city with their entourage and retreat to a spacious countryside villa. The ensuing events are depicted in a dark comedy as they engage in hedonistic pursuits, including wine drinking and romantic liaisons. However, when the situation turns critical, their amusements may no longer provide them with entertainment.
