There isn’t a new episode of 911: Lone Star on tonight (but there is some good news)
As a dedicated fan who has been following the thrilling journey of the Texas-based firefighters and paramedics in 911: Lone Star, I must say that the recent cliffhanger left me on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating more. However, it seems fate has other plans for us tonight, Monday, Dec. 9. The absence of a new episode is a harsh reality that we’ve come to expect after the fall finale marketing.
Given how the last episode concluded, we’re eagerly anticipating another installment of 911: Lone Star. Unfortunately, there’s some disappointing news – it appears there won’t be a new episode airing on tonight, Monday, Dec. 9.
Unfortunately, it seems like we don’t have a fresh episode of 911: Lone Star tonight. Given that the last one was advertised as the season finale, this shouldn’t come as too much of a shock.
The show will make its return, which is positive news, but there’s also some not-so-great news to share along with it.
Why isn’t there a new episode of 911: Lone Star on tonight?
The show has entered its winter hiatus, which is quite common for series, and it’s noticeable that many shows are taking a brief pause starting this week. Similarly, other shows like Monday night FOX drama Rescue: Hi-Surf have already ended their season prematurely.
This winter vacation serves dual purposes. Primarily, it allows shows to catch up on filming ahead of schedule. During the holiday season, both cast and crew have some downtime, so if no break is taken now, a pause will be necessary later in the year.
911: Lone Star has already filmed all their episodes, leaving just three more to air. Given this, the current break is due to factors other than production issues. During this season, linear ratings tend to decrease because people spend more time outside or prefer watching holiday movies with loved ones. To avoid a drop in these ratings, networks choose to take a pause.
When will 911: Lone Star return with new episodes?
Great news! The upcoming week brings us a fresh episode. Fox is all set to resume broadcasting on Monday, January 20th.
Unfortunately, I have some disappointing information to share. As previously discussed, we’re left with just three more installments of 911: Lone Star. The grand finale is scheduled for February 3rd, Monday, and it will be a standalone episode. This brings the total number of episodes in the series down to twelve.
911: Lone Star is back on Monday, Jan. 20 at 8/7c on FOX. Catch up on the series on Hulu.
