It’s important to leave them eager for more, but typically you also provide them with a taste, so they know exactly what they’re yearning for more of. The season 2 finale appeared to be an extensive setup leading to minimal rewards, and now we have the unfortunate wait until 2026 to discover the continuation.

If you were thinking about watching the end of House of the Dragon season 2 on HBO or Max tonight, there’s no need as the season has already ended. However, calling “The Queen Who Ever Was” the conclusion might be stretching it a bit.

It appears discussions suggest that additional episodes from this current season of House of the Dragon were initially intended for season 3 but got postponed instead. The exact cause remains unclear; it could stem from budget concerns, creative decisions based on storyline needs, or perhaps a combination of both factors.
