There are only two ways to stop Nima in the Snowpiercer series finale

As a die-hard fan of the Snowpiercer series who has witnessed every heart-wrenching twist and turn since its inception, I can confidently say that the finale promises to be an emotional rollercoaster. The looming threat of Nima, with his misguided quest to save the world, is the elephant in the room that no one can ignore.

In the final episode of the “Snowpiercer” series, there are many threads to tie up, with the most significant one focusing on thwarting Nima’s plans. Despite his intentions to save the world, the consequences of his chemicals will be far from beneficial.

At the close of the last episode, the story has returned to its starting point as the Tailies find themselves once more on the train, specifically at the back end. Unlike before, their status is no longer that of runaway passengers, but rather, they’ve chosen to hide in order to help others rather than for their own safety.

In simpler terms, Layton and the group must battle their path towards the train’s forefront. However, it seems that the story might have just two possible conclusions for it to put a halt on Nima’s actions.

Melanie and Alex need to break the rockets in some way in the Snowpiercer series finale

One method for preserving our planet could involve ensuring that launch vehicles cannot ascend, which might necessitate harmlessly disabling them without causing any gas leaks. Releasing Gemini, however, carries a risk of initiating damage, even if it’s not as catastrophic as releasing all rockets into the atmosphere.

It seems quite plausible that Melanie and Alex intend to carry out some action. Given their inclination towards harming Nima, if such an intent existed, they would have acted upon it by now.

Someone will need to kill Nima in the Snowpiercer series finale

An alternative option would be to eliminate Nima. Although Melanie and Alex might not wish to take such an action, it’s clear that Layton and others have demonstrated they are capable of violence. It should be noted that Melanie has shown similar tendencies, but Nima holds a special place in her life as a part of her past and the father of her child. Layton, on the other hand, does not share this bond, and there’s already some animosity due to Nima’s involvement in the abduction of Liana.

It seems this method might be the sole solution to permanently halt Nima’s actions. He maintains a conviction that his chemical is without fault, viewing the inhabitants of New Eden as being unreasonably self-centered for refusing to coexist peacefully with others.

Regardless of whether the rockets are destroyed, Nima won’t cease his efforts. He feels that the optimal opportunity for launching Gemini has already passed by then, so he may resort to harmful actions towards Earth as a form of retaliation instead. Given this potential danger, it could be argued that the only viable solution is to neutralize him somehow.
