Theo James looks suave in a black suit as he attends Dolce & Gabbana runway show during Milan Fashion Week amid ‘leading odds’ to become the next James Bond

On Saturday, during the Milan Menswear Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Week, Theo James exuded sophistication as he made his appearance at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show.

For the event, the 40-year-old actor, often mentioned as a potential James Bond, looked sharp and stylish in a neat, black tuxedo.

He complemented his gaze with a black top and timeless black slip-ons, concluding the ensemble with eye-catching tortoiseshell spectacles.

At an elegant gathering in the core of an Italian metropolis, Theo appeared carefree and jubilant while striking poses for pictures.

Following the disclosure that Theo James has emerged as the top contender to take on the legendary role of James Bond, he now stands at odds of 5/2 according to bookmakers.

Among the notable competitors, Shailene Woodley, known for her role in Divergent, is currently leading the pack, surpassing actors like Henry Cavill (Superman), Tom Hardy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and James Norton.

007, the iconic character, was initially embodied by Sean Connery in the 1962 movie “Dr. No”. Since then, various prominent actors have taken on the role.

Most recently, Daniel Craig fronted the franchise, starring in five Bond films from 2006 to 2021.

Since Daniel Craig wrapped up his tenure with No Time to Die, there’s been a lot of talk about who might replace him as 007, and Theo appears to be the clear front-runner for the role.

Previously, I’ve left an indelible mark with my portrayal of complex, ethically questionable characters, much like Bond, in shows such as The White Lotus and films like The Gentlemen directed by Guy Ritchie. In these roles, I’ve had the privilege to embody a Brit.

However, James has dismissed rumors about his potential role, stating last year to The Guardian that it “likely won’t be me.

During her preparations for the upcoming Bond film, it was rumored that Barbara Broccoli favored The Divergent series actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, age 34, as her top choice.

After Amazon purchased the franchise, he briefly dropped on bookmakers’ rankings, but following his signing with Omega, the official watch supplier for Bond, he’s made a significant comeback in those rankings.

Additionally, Pierce Brosnan, who is now 72 years old, publicly supported him during his recent interview on The Jonathan Ross Show.

‘I think he (Aaron) would make a very fine Bond,’ Brosnan said.

In one of the films I directed, titled “The Greatest,” it was this particular individual who starred as our leading character.

‘Back then, he truly stood out. There was an undeniable charm about him, a strong aura that made one believe in his potential. He seemed perfect for the role. However, there are several other candidates on the list, no doubt.’

As The Daily Mail reported, the plan is for the new Bond to be a ‘straight up’ reboot.

It appears there won’t be any clarification on why the character seems to have survived, no exploration of multiple Bond universes, and no time travel to recreate a ’60s Bond experience.

The top executives at Amazon are rumored to be scouting possible locations for their upcoming movie, a production that many expect will hit theaters towards the latter half of next year or possibly as late as 2027.

Because Central London is set to have a filming ban in the upcoming year, it appears that alternative shooting spots are under consideration – and Liverpool has emerged as a top choice, based on reports from The Sun.

A confidential source shared with the media outlet: “It’s likely to cause frustration among Bond loyalists, who are apprehensive that Amazon’s potential control over the 07 franchise might result in significant alterations.

‘But Liverpool is a well-known alternative to London for film-makers.

It can be found in various productions such as The Batman, Captain America, and the Harry Potter films, often serving a dual role as global city settings.

The source mentioned that, while the story may not definitively take place in Liverpool, keen observers from Liverpool might recognize their downtown area in the backdrop.

As a lifestyle expert, I reached out to Amazon to inquire about the speculation surrounding Liverpool potentially serving as the backdrop for the upcoming James Bond film. They’ve yet to confirm or deny this intriguing rumor, but fingers crossed that we’ll soon find out if the city of Liverpool will be adding another iconic cinematic credit to its already impressive resume!
