The Wyatt Sicks taking taking out The Miz makes perfect sense
As a seasoned gamer of WWE storylines, I must admit that the latest turn of events with The Wyatt Sicks and The Miz has piqued my interest in a way that only the most intriguing plot twists can. With years of watching wrestling, it’s become clear that when the Wyatts start sniffing around someone, they mean business.
The Wyatt Sicks have identified their next victim, with The Miz now under close scrutiny by Uncle Howdy and his team. Following several weeks of teasing about who would be targeted next, the gang seized the opportunity to kidnap this multiple-time champion in a hidden backstage encounter. This recent turn of events adds an intriguing twist to the group’s storyline and is a logical progression from their long-term perspective.
The video of Miz’s kidnapping showed a callback to when The Miz took Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel under his wing as The Miztourage. Of course, they were his lackies, taking all the big bumps while helping The Miz get victories along the way. The group would be together for a year, until April of 2018 when Dallas and Axel finally got enough of The Miz, taking him out.
In a nutshell, The Miz has a pattern of betraying those he calls friends, with Dallas, Axel, and most recently R-Truth being among his past victims. Meanwhile, the Wyatt Family has signaled their intention to seek out anyone who discards their loved ones. Their backstories highlight the value they place on the bonds formed in wrestling, making them determined to confront those who act against these relationships. Earlier, it was Chad Gable, and now The Miz is next on their list.
Another reason why this is an intriguing development is because it keeps the Wyatt Sicks moving toward an eventual face-off with The Final Testament. Karrion Kross is seemingly turning a corner as the backstage agitator behind several major breakups of late. If he continues down that path, it is just a matter of time before these two groups face off. They’ve already had one skirmish, but that was for Howdy and crew to get their hands on The Miz. Kross isn’t safe though and he would be a fantastic “big bad” for the group.
WWE skillfully crafts compelling storylines for Bray Wyatt and his faction, keeping them away from the title contention for now. Eventually, they might enter the championship scene, but it’s tricky to maintain a destructive image for the group. Eliminating The Miz helps advance their narrative and keeps them relevant on TV since he is a regular performer. This move seems appropriate for the faction at this stage.
