The WWE vs. UFC Supercard that TKO Would Love to Host in 2025
When Endeavour Group brought together WWE and UFC, it sparked conversation in the media and among skeptical fanbases about the potential of these two giants. Since then, there have been promotional events, synchronized schedules, and hints at operational changes, but a highly-anticipated matchup between WWE and UFC, like a Supercard event, hasn’t been officially announced yet. If this were to happen in 2025, it would ideally take place in a major city that would be appealing to both organizations. A global location such as Rome, Italy, could be an ideal choice. With the anticipation building and international media watching closely, creating a balanced card becomes crucial to ensure an unforgettable night for all fans.
Today, Endeavor officially revealed they’ve sealed a deal to establish a $21+ billion international corporation encompassing live sports and entertainment, incorporating both UFC and WWE.

WWE Championship Match Cody Rhodes vs Chael Sonnen with Special Guest Commentator Ariel Helwani (feat Dustin Poirier)
As a gaming enthusiast, I’d relish the thought of witnessing an epic showdown between the WWE and UFC superstars. To kick things off with a bang, let’s bring back the legendary UFC fighter, Chael Sonnen, from retirement. His grand comeback won’t be in the Octagon; it’s been over a decade since his last fight. Instead, the “American Gangster” will step into the wrestling ring for a title match against the “American Nightmare,” Cody Rhodes. Throughout their careers, they’ve been mirror images of each other – one an impeccably clean all-American boy, the other a pioneer in trash talk. Both men are also skilled orators, so the buildup should be electric even without any physical confrontations.
It’s unlikely that the WWE will give Chael Sonnen their top title, but unexpected events do occur. To account for this possibility, they could leverage some of Sonnen’s real-life conflicts, such as his beef with WWE booster and MMA commentator Ariel Helwani. If Helwani gets involved in the feud by appearing as a guest commentator (alongside The Voice of WWE, Michael Cole, and MMA commentator Joe Rogan), it could serve as a distraction for Sonnen. Furthermore, involving Dustin Poirier in the mix, perhaps to defend Helwani or to prevent Sonnen from taking shortcuts in the more laid-back atmosphere of a WWE match, might provide UFC fans with an explanation if their retired hero loses to a professional wrestler.
CM Punk vs Mickey Gall (UFC Cage Match)
In the world of UFC and WWE, past encounters often create intense rivalries. When two individuals have history together, their current confrontations carry more weight. Similarly, for MMA fans, authentic cage fights are preferable over completely scripted events. Thus, the initial MMA bout of the night will feature a match with both heat and history – a three-round exhibition between CM Punk and Mickey Gall. Gall has previously defeated Punk during his UFC stint and remains a ranked fighter within the promotion. Punk, on the other hand, has been a crowd favorite in wrestling since his return to WWE, with many of his recent storylines revolving around unresolved issues from his past.
Winning the cmpunk fight felt like hitting the jackpot for me, a gamer. It transformed my life, turned dreams into reality, and opened doors to possibilities I’d only dared to dream of. I feel incredibly grateful, and I couldn’t ask for a better adversary than cmpunk, who was not just tough but also courageous.
— Mickey Gall (@mickeygall) September 11, 2018
In contrast to a WWE bout, where the outcome is predetermined, the winner in this instance will be chosen by the participants themselves. Many are betting on Gall to emerge victorious, but if Punk can make it to the end against his opponent, it would certainly be an impressive feat. If he manages to win, my hat’s off to him. It’s quite likely that Gall will come out on top in this UFC fight, which may help pacify fans who felt let down by Sonnen not dominating in the initial encounter.
Kayla Harrison vs Bianca Belair
The most challenging match to arrange is one featuring two exceptional athletes who are rapidly gaining fame in their sports – Kayla Harrison and Bianca Belair. Kayla Harrison, known as ESPN’s Women Fighter of the Year, has an impressive background as a two-time Olympic gold medalist in Judo. She holds a unique place in American history as the only woman to win two gold medals in this sport. Since her entry into the UFC, she’s been making waves and seems destined for significant recognition if she maintains her current momentum. Bianca Belair has followed a similar path in WWE, where she was previously an All-American athlete and fitness competitor before venturing into wrestling.
Predicting a victor for this staged fight is tough, given its scripted nature. Bianca excels in wrestling and acting out roles, but Harrison might not share that skill. However, Harrison is gaining popularity rapidly. Considering all factors, it seems logical for Harrison to emerge victorious. Losing to an exceptional athlete in a competitive match carries no stigma. Bianca’s strength will continue to shine brightly. Conversely, Harrison’s profile gains significantly from this win and may inspire the gold medalist to consider wrestling once her cage fighting career concludes.
The Street Profits and Sean Strickland vs. AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and Jose Aldo
Instead of a direct clash like WWE vs. UFC Supercard, it’s more feasible to have a joint showcase where they can cooperate, at least in a friendly competition. This could be an exciting tag team event that brings together the best from both worlds and ignites fan enthusiasm. On one side, you have a team of seasoned veterans. Wrestling icons Randy Orton and AJ Styles are still delivering top-tier performances despite their lengthy careers in the wrestling industry. Jose Aldo, an UFC legend who went undefeated from 2005 to 2015 and debuted back in 2004, is also part of this team. Aldo is known for his no-nonsense approach and predatory instincts in the ring, earning him the title of the inaugural UFC featherweight champion. The profiles of these three stars share striking similarities.
It’s time to reverse the process of emigrating from the United States to Australia, or in simpler terms, it’s time for Australians to return home from America. The phrase “Deny Depose Defend” is intriguing and has a nice ring to it, but I can’t seem to trace its origin or know who coined it. It does sound quite appealing though!
— Sean Strickland (@SStricklandMMA) December 8, 2024
For WWE, the Street Profits could be the new team that challenges the established legends or stars, often known as the underdogs. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have been struggling for some time, but their exact allegiance is unclear. They’ve expressed their dissatisfaction on social media about their current position. In UFC, Sean Strickland stands out as a controversial figure with a big mouth. If the Street Profits aren’t full villains, then Sean Strickland definitely fits that role in real life. When it comes to choosing between them, it depends on personal preference. As advocates for women, we favor Ronda Rousey, AJ Styles, and Triple H (John Cena was not mentioned).
Amanda Nunes vs. Shayna Basler (UFC Cage Match)
In this upcoming UFC three-round bout, a retired MMA fighter who’s a UFC legend will square off against a skilled WWE performer boasting her own athletic background in the sport. Placing any WWE performer inside a cage with an active UFC contender is likely to result in defeat, even for the seasoned ones. Shayna Baszler holds a 26-11 MMA record but is winless in her UFC career, standing at 0-2. Her most recent UFC fight, lost in 2015 against Amanda Nunes, was noteworthy. Nunes has taken a break from the sport for over a year now. Despite being one of the greatest women in MMA history, her lack of recent training makes this match potentially competitive if they were to face each other again.
Although it seems improbable, it’s plausible that a retired Nunes might fare better against active wrestler Shayna Baszler. This is reminiscent of CM Punk’s swift and clear defeat by Baszler. If Baszler manages to improve her performance in future bouts, even if she loses, it could be a source of pride. Additionally, if the speculations that Kayla Harrison is aiming for a return fight against Nunes are accurate, squaring off with Baszler on the same show where Harrison claims her first WWE victory could pave the way for the build-up to the anticipated Harrison vs. Nunes event.
Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch vs Holly Holm
At WrestleMania, Ronda Rousey became part of the first women’s main event ever, though she lost to Becky Lynch. However, it was Rousey who paved the way for that match to happen and helped cement Lynch’s status as a legend in wrestling. Remarkably, Holly Holm, like Lynch, is known for her striking skills and made a significant mark in UFC by defeating then-Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, launching her own successful career. Both Holm and Lynch owe part of their success to the impact Rousey had on women’s sports. Retired from both UFC and WWE, Rousey remains the only woman to hold a world title in both organizations and continues to enjoy being a prominent figure.
Rebecca Quin, regardless of the script’s instructions, I will confront you harshly the next opportunity I have to meet with you.
— Ronda Rousey (@RondaRousey) February 28, 2019
In this scenario, the event serves as Ronda’s comeback, with TKO being the catalyst along with a substantial amount of money. She stands to rectify not just one but two past defeats in a single evening. Regardless of who Rousey submits, and she is expected to do so, everyone involved leaves content. Both WWE and UFC can boast her as theirs, while the toughest woman on Earth reclaims her victories, potentially paving the way for another stint with either organization should she choose to return.
BMF Title Match: Logan Paul vs Max Holloway (UFC Cagematch)
It’s not just the wrestlers who could contribute to the prize money for a WWE vs. UFC Supercard. While WWE doesn’t use weight classes to determine categories, and UFC mostly does, there’s an exception – the BMF Championship, which doesn’t necessarily have a weight class associated with it. This title seems perfect for such a unique event, especially considering its current holder, Max Holloway. Holloway is known for being relatively quiet compared to other UFC fighters and employs a “pressure fighter” technique that combines impressive boxing and Muay Thai. On the other hand, WWE has a former champion with a boxing background in Logan Paul.
It’s thrilling to imagine competing in the UFC, where I can leverage my wrestling skills. However, I’ve heard that some famous personalities or athletes are keen on receiving a few punches from me first, isn’t it amusing? 😂
— Logan Paul (@LoganPaul) August 29, 2018
Logan Paul, who’s known for being outspoken, is in stark contrast with Holloway, who’s very focused. The story here is straightforward. Logan weighs about 200 pounds, while Holloway is around 155. That’s a big difference, but if they could fight at a weight that meets somewhere in the middle, like 176 for Logan and 160 for Holloway, it would be an exciting prospect. This would make Holloway only the second UFC fighter, after Conor McGregor, to compete as a Welterweight, Lightweight, and Featherweight. Even though Holloway is likely to win, if he doesn’t, UFC boss Dana White might find a way to leverage the Paul brand to sell tickets for future UFC events.
Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman vs. Jon Jones with Dana White
In more casual terms, the standout performers of today’s scene, Jon Jones and Roman Reigns, are undoubtedly the headliners for a hypothetical WWE vs. UFC crossover event. They’re both powerful fighters and incredibly talented athletes, frequently hailed as the best ever in their respective fields. Although Reigns no longer holds the heavyweight title, his reign at the top of WWE for over three years is one of the longest in recent history. Both men are great ambassadors for their organizations, and it would be thrilling to see Dana White and Paul Heyman trading promos on Raw or Smackdown each week.
1. The game can’t conclude any other way than a tie or forfeit. Both corporations are determined that their marquee actor won’t lose. Fortunately, wherever Roman appears, a long line of controversy seems to appear as well. Solo, Jacob, and the Tongan Brothers intervene, but The Uso’s and Sami Zayn arrive just in time to intervene. Tama Tonga strikes Reigns, and Tonga Loa hits Jones. This coordinated attack brings the match to an end without a decision. After everyone except Tama Tonga is driven off by the cavalry, Roman retaliates with a Superman punch against Tama. Jones ends the night with a (hopefully) staged move to knock out his attacker. Heyman and White then orchestrate a handshake to conclude the show.
2. The game must finish either as a draw or disqualification. Neither corporation will allow their top star to lose. It’s lucky that Roman always brings a trail of controversy wherever he goes. Solo, Jacob, and the Tongan Brothers make an appearance, but it’s The Uso’s and Sami Zayn who step in at the right moment. Tama Tonga attacks Reigns, while Tonga Loa targets Jones. This orchestrated attack results in a no-contest. After everyone except Tama Tonga is run off by the cavalry, Roman responds with a Superman punch. The night ends with Jones delivering a (hopefully) rehearsed blow to subdue his attacker. Heyman and White arrange a handshake to bring the show to a close.
3. The game can’t be anything other than a tie or forfeit. Both companies won’t tolerate their leading star losing. It happens that Roman consistently generates controversy wherever he shows up. Solo, Jacob, and the Tongan Brothers enter the fray, but it’s The Uso’s and Sami Zayn who intervene at just the right moment. Tama Tonga attacks Reigns, while Tonga Loa targets Jones. This coordinated attack leads to an inconclusive result. After everyone except Tama Tonga is driven off by the cavalry, Roman retaliates with a Superman punch. The night ends with Jones landing a (hopefully) pre-planned strike to incapacitate his attacker. Heyman and White arrange a handshake to conclude the show.
Predicting results of a WWE vs UFC Supercard
As a passionate fan, I can’t help but appreciate the unpredictable nature of UFC fights. Both UFC and WWE understand the importance of keeping their audience satisfied. If it seems like every fight favors the UFC fighters, then they need to ensure that the show remains well-balanced. Even if the WWE stars pull off an unexpected victory in the cage fights, the overall show would still offer a satisfying balance. To fill time, especially when the cage fights end prematurely, they could invite charismatic figures like McGregor, Ken Shamrock, and Rey Mysterio to discuss the matches and the shows as a whole, all while promoting their respective brands. This way, we get to enjoy the pageantry of WWE with the unpredictability of UFC – a combination that could prove to be a knockout success.
