The Witcher’s Geralt Voice Actor ‘Can’t Wait’ to See What Happens to Ciri in The Witcher 4

Despite likely having a smaller part in “The Witcher 4″, Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle is excited for the upcoming game and looks forward to seeing Ciri as the central character. While he will continue with his role, he’s not disheartened by no longer being the main character. In fact, he’s quite thrilled about it.

In an interview with IGN, Cockle expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am genuinely thrilled about this decision. Transitioning the saga to focus on Ciri seems like a highly intriguing move for numerous reasons, particularly because of certain events from the books that I’d rather not spoil, as I encourage everyone to read them themselves. So yes, I’m really looking forward to it and can hardly wait to see the outcome.

Cockle has been buzzing with enthusiasm not only about his own projects but also regarding speculations over Geralt’s part in the upcoming fourth mainline game. For this, he received a playful warning from CD Projekt RED. However, according to Cockle, this didn’t suggest any strain in their relationship with the studio.

Cockle clarified that he always seemed to be in their good graces. Developers often prefer to keep things under wraps, and since he didn’t know much, he was mostly making assumptions. One of their suggestions was for him to stop guessing. They explained that whatever Doug said would be taken as fact, regardless. It was more like a gentle nudge than a serious reprimand.

Currently, there’s no announced release date for The Witcher 4, but we can look forward to reuniting with Cockle as Geralt in an upcoming Netflix animated series titled The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, which is set to debut on the 11th of February.
