The Witcher 4 Has Officially Entered Full-Scale Production, CD Projekt RED Confirms
As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing the fantastical landscapes of The Witcher series, the news that Project Polaris has officially entered full-scale production feels like a homecoming. The thought of delving back into the rich, immersive world of The Continent once more brings a warm, nostalgic smile to my face.
CD Projekt RED, the developer behind The Witcher series, has announced that work on the upcoming installment in The Witcher series, code-named ‘Project Polaris’, is now in full swing. Approximately 400 members of the studio’s 650 staff are currently dedicated to this project.
Sebastian Kalemba, our Game Director, is excited to share that Project Polaris has advanced into full-scale production! Fresh hurdles are looming, but I’m confident it’s the dedication and skill of our team that will make the upcoming Witcher Saga an unforgettable journey. We press onward! Keep a close eye for what lies ahead!
In the transition, certain team members from what we presume to be ‘The Witcher 4’ have shifted their focus towards ‘Project Orion’, which is known as the upcoming sequel to ‘Cyberpunk 2077’, and another spin-off titled ‘Project Sirius’. On the other hand, a team of just fifteen developers are currently involved with CD Projekt’s freshly conceived project, code-named ‘Project Hadar’.
Although The Witcher 4 might still be a few years away, it’s reassuring to learn that development on the game is already in progress. We can also confirm that Geralt will appear in the game, but not necessarily as the central character. Instead, this new installment promises to chart its own course. Here’s to hoping we get more information about it soon.
Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that the game “Cyberpunk 2077” has surpassed sales of 30 million units, and its expansion pack, titled “Phantom Liberty,” has moved approximately 8 million copies.
Overjoyed to share some exciting news as a dedicated fan myself: Project Polaris has officially moved into full production! As we approach fresh obstacles, it’s the passion and dedication of our team that fills me with confidence that together, we can create an unforgettable chapter in the Witcher Saga. Onward and forward we go!
