The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Reportedly Could Have Had a Cyberpunk 2077 Crossover Quest

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a twinge of nostalgia and curiosity at the news of the lost ‘Through Time and Space’ crossover quest between The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077.

A fresh report indicates that the game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt might have incorporated a collaborative mission with Cyberpunk 2077. In this hypothetical scenario, Geralt and his elf companion, Avallac’h, could have ventured briefly into Night City as part of a quest.

Information regarding the ‘Through Time and Space’ mission is shared via a new eBook series called ‘What Lies Unseen‘, which can be found on GameSpot. This series offers an inside look at CD Projekt RED’s 2014 RPG trilogy’s third installment, as told by modders and data miners Crygreg, Ferroxius, and Glassfish. In this mission, Geralt and Avallac’h would have journeyed to Night City while traveling through various dimensions to uncover more details about the Wild Hunt.

As I navigated through the technologically advanced yet broken, seemingly dying streets of Night City, I couldn’t help but wonder if this was some sort of afterlife. Avallac’h’s words echoed in my mind as the city’s odor and commotion filled my senses, leaving me with a sense of disgust that I couldn’t shake off. And here I am, coins once given to a beggar still weighing heavy on my pockets, a constant reminder of my past actions in this unforgettable place.

In a different scenario, the beggar might have been revealed as a wealthy individual in the game Cyberpunk 2077, if they could cash in their coins for a substantial sum of money. It’s an intriguing concept; it’s too bad that it didn’t come to fruition in the final version of the game.

It’s great news that Geralt might appear more frequently in the upcoming game, tentatively titled “The Witcher 4“, as CDPR has announced that it’s now in full production. Additionally, a follow-up to “Cyberpunk” is being developed as well.
