I’m so excited! It’s almost that time of year again – you know, when everything gets cozy! And League of Legends is bringing back its awesome Winter map, which I absolutely love. It just makes the game feel so festive!
Just like Mariah Carey’s classic song, all we really want for the holidays is to enjoy time with loved ones! And to celebrate the winter season – with snow, delicious food, comfy blankets, festive red outfits, and gifts – the Winter map is coming back to League of Legends! It’s wonderful to see the game embrace the holiday spirit with one of its most beloved and cheerful maps.
Winter map details
If you’re a fan of Christmas, now’s a great time to play League of Legends! When you start a game, you’ll find the world transformed into a beautiful winter scene. There are warm fireplaces, fun holiday hats, and lots of small details that really capture the spirit of the season. Even the main base turns into a sparkling snow globe, and a cute little poro delivers presents on a toy train to everyone!
The Winter level features red enemies carrying stars and blue enemies carrying cupcakes. The whole map is decorated for the holidays with Christmas trees, candy canes, lights, snowmen, sleds, and lots of other festive details to get you in the holiday mood.
It’s not just you wearing that embarrassing holiday outfit your mom picked out for the family photos! The Baron is getting into the spirit too, with a collection of festive Christmas hats and gloves.
When does the map come to the game?
Okay, so the Winter map is coming back to League on November 19th with patch 25.13! Honestly, if you were thinking about jumping back into the game, this feels like a perfect time. I’m already planning to team up with my friends and show off all our Christmas skins on the Rift. It’s gonna be a blast!
