The Wiggles and their former CEO have struck a secret deal, after a nasty court drama.
In August, Luke O’Neill began a legal case in federal court against Anthony Field, a member of the popular children’s group The Wiggles, and Matthew Salgo, the group’s lawyer.
O’Neill stated he wasn’t paid bonuses he deserved and was left out of important meetings before being fired without a valid reason.
Honestly, it just broke my heart to hear about this! Apparently, someone claimed Greg Page felt like Anthony Field was, like, going behind his back and making things awkward with the other Wiggles in front of everyone. But The Wiggles themselves? They completely shut it down – said it just didn’t happen. I choose to believe them, of course! They’re The Wiggles!
News Corp announced Friday that the dispute has been resolved with a confidential financial settlement and an agreement to keep the details private.
Lawyers for O’Neill did not respond to requests for comment regarding the settlement, which was reached earlier this month.

According to court records, Field publicly questioned O’Neill’s abilities and belittled him during a February meeting attended by over a dozen employees.
O’Neill reported the incident to Luke Field, who is both the nephew of the Blue Wiggle and the group’s business manager, expressing his concerns about his uncle’s actions during the meeting.
This happened several months after the company’s CEO voiced concerns about another nephew being brought on to help with the new album, The Tree of Wisdom.
According to documents, O’Neill criticized Field for giving a bonus to a friend and his daughter’s boyfriend without getting permission, and in a way that differed from the standard bonus process for other employees.
It was also alleged that Field then took steps to reduce Mr O’Neill’s roles and responsibilities.
This involved leaving him out of discussions with Kmart regarding branded toy sales, and informing all employees about plans to terminate a tour promoter’s contract, all without speaking to him first.
According to court records, O’Neill repeatedly raised concerns about staffing and other choices made by Field, claiming these decisions were made without proper authorization.
He reported to Simon Pryce, the director of the group, in April that the decisions being made were causing the project to go over budget and threatened his potential bonus.

According to reports, Pryce believed he deserved a raise because the company’s profits were expected to jump from $2 million in 2023 to between $6.5 and $7 million by 2025. This group has been operating for over three decades.
But Mr O’Neill said he was dismissed in May.
He claimed his firing was illegal and a direct result of him using his rights as an employee. He stated the decision was made without any valid reason, prior notice, or previous concerns about his performance.
A bonus payment of more than $86,000, made in July, was less than what he alleges he was owed.
The Wiggles responded to the claims in a written statement last September, arguing that much of what O’Neill alleged was legally questionable and could be dismissed, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
O’Neill was fired due to poor performance and because he didn’t understand that the owners ultimately made the creative choices.
The company responded to accusations that Field had weakened O’Neill’s position by stating that Field had advised the chief executive to step back from the creative side of projects. Field felt O’Neill was too focused on creative details, which didn’t align with the business-focused nature of his job.
O’Neill initially joined The Wiggles as a consultant in April 2023 and later became their chief executive in January 2024.

He was responsible for increasing the group’s income, managing the budget, and handling all hiring processes.
The Wiggles, a hugely popular Australian entertainment group, have been delighting audiences since they formed in 1991. They’ve earned numerous awards, including multiple ARIAs, and were honored with a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2011.
Field is the last remaining member of the original line-up, which has expanded over time.
