The Wicked cast tells us what's the most swankified place for them to eat in London

As a gamer who’s spent countless hours exploring virtual cities and indulging in digital feasts, I can wholeheartedly attest to London’s culinary allure. The cast of Wicked has truly showcased the city’s gastronomic grandeur with their diverse food preferences.

It’s well-known that London abounds with delicious dining spots, and if you know where to search, there’s a rich tapestry of flavors to be found. The cast and crew of Wicked recently demonstrated this when sharing their preferred eateries in the city, and the tastes range just as widely as the individuals involved in the production.

“Some great pubs”

TimeOut London’s Instagram conversation with the cast and team of a production found them sharing their favorite eateries in central UK locations. Among these charming recommendations, Karis Musongole, portraying Young Elphaba, couldn’t hide her excitement for Pizza Express and their dough balls and pizza offerings. The dessert menu boasts temptations like the “Loaded Snowball Dough Balls” and a festive “Snowball Dough Ball Wreath,” both coated in white chocolate sauce, cinnamon, and icing sugar, with a white chocolate dip to boot. The wreath is further adorned with salted caramel sauce and chocolate treats. Notably, their pizza options range from the “festive flavor” Christmas Feast to the spicy American Hottest, loaded with Nduja sausage, pepperoni, tomato, mozzarella, Gran Milano cheese, chillies, hot oil, and parsley.

Glinda’s entourage seems to favor certain eateries, such as Nando’s – a South African restaurant known for its PERi-Peri chicken seasoned with Portuguese flavors. On the other hand, numerous cast members have spoken highly of Dishoom, an Indian restaurant offering a wide variety of dishes including Paneer Roomali Roll and Murgh Malai, among others. They also provide vegan options, children’s menus, and holiday feasts for order. Tamarind, another favorite among the creative group, serves everything from street food to lobster, catering to diverse tastes. Lastly, Bronwyn James, a friend of Bowen’s, prefers Soho Joe for Lebanese cuisine.

Director Jon M. Chu notes that they visited several excellent local taverns, and there’s talk of casual dining options. Pret A Manger is a well-liked choice, but The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and dancer Emilie Livingston have fond memories of River Street Cafe as well.

In a nutshell, when an extraordinary occurrence (a “Wicked” event) visits their locale, they’re open to experimenting with almost any idea in virtually any setting. Often, they crave novelty in their experiences, yet they aren’t shy about appreciating the basic pleasures life has to offer.

It’s likely they savored a lot of PERi-PERi and dough balls before they ventured off to other delicious locales. On November 22, “Wicked” graces the big screen.
