In the upcoming third season, actress Natasha Rothwell from “The White Lotus” series hints at a fresh romance for her character.
Initially introduced in the first season, the cherished spa attendant Belinda (portrayed by Rothwell) was absent from the second season that unfolded in Sicily. However, fans can look forward to her return for the upcoming episode, as the series now follows a fresh cast in Thailand.
In the third season, we’ll get to know Belinda better as they introduce her adult son Zion (played by Nicholas Duvernay), who’s recently returned from his studies.
In an exclusive interview with Digital Spy, Rothwell expressed her enthusiasm for the fresh on-screen romance and couldn’t help but praise her acting partner.
As a gaming enthusiast, let me tell you, Nicholas Duvernay is an outstanding actor that I can hardly wait for everyone to get acquainted with. He’s not just gifted with talent, but also has this incredible balance and charm that makes him stand out. Plus, he’s drop-dead gorgeous!
The actor elaborated on the complex interplay between Belinda and Zion, likening it to her personal experiences with her own family dynamics.
It’s fascinating for me to portray the role of a mother with an adult son. Just like me, I had to redefine my connection with my own parents as an adult, realizing that they are not just authority figures but individuals with their own flaws and humanity – reminding us all that people, even our parents, can make mistakes.
As a fan, I can’t help but notice the blossoming bond between them. It seems they’re getting to know each other on a whole new level since he returned from graduate school. Watching him mature and providing some personal space in this setting is quite enjoyable.
In another context, Rothwell explored the possibility that Belinda might find romance during her business visit at the hotel.
The famous actor playfully said, “It’s only fair to be optimistic, considering everyone else seems to have their moment out of character.” However, he quickly clarified, “I was just joking. But yes, we can expect to see Belinda in a different setting from her usual work attire and that’s all I’ll say about it.
She commented: “Be prepared for the unpredictable, as it’s only fitting for ‘The White Lotus’. I can’t wait for viewers to delve deeper into her character, her professional life, and her training, since she’s there for work. However, she’s also a guest, so I believe there’s a shift occurring where she struggles to balance both roles.
The third season of ‘The White Lotus’ will debut on HBO and Max in the United States, and on Sky and NOW in the UK, starting from February 16 and 17 respectively. You can currently stream seasons 1 and 2 on Sky and NOW.
