Norman Reedus, known for playing Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead, has finished filming his last scenes as the popular character, sharing a farewell message to fans.
Norman Reedus first became famous for his role as the archer Daryl in The Walking Dead. He then starred in a spin-off series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which began in 2023. After three seasons, the show has been renewed for a fourth and final season.
Norman Reedus announced the end of filming for his character, Daryl Dixon, with a message to fans on Twitter/X. He simply wrote, “Last filming day today for daryl dixon.”

While wrapping up the last season in Spain, Norman Reedus thought about his 15 years as Daryl and talked about how he’s feeling now that the spin-off is finishing up.
The show has always felt personally connected to my life, and this season is especially true. With season four, my character Daryl experiences a lot of internal struggle, and I’m going through some things myself, so it really resonates,” he explained to The Hollywood Reporter.
I’ve been doing a lot of internal work, particularly while preparing for this current episode. I’m constantly thinking about this character’s entire life – their past, present, and what’s to come.
The actor playing Daryl says the next episodes will give his character a satisfying conclusion. While there aren’t any current plans to continue Daryl’s story, the actor hinted he’d be open to revisiting the role in the future, believing there are always more possibilities to explore.
Norman Reedus noted that the show’s storyline has developed naturally since its first season, and there weren’t any pre-set plans for his character’s journey.
He explained that when they begin a new project, the outcome isn’t predetermined. It develops naturally as they work on it.
