In this instance, the simultaneous elimination of two groups within a single event bears a striking resemblance to The Walking Dead’s eighth season, episode 10, where Negan’s lieutenant, Simon, annihilated the Scavengers (except for Jadis) in a similar fashion. In that episode, he attempted negotiation with them, but instead, it led to a conflict that ended with the Saviors wiping out everyone at the Heaps.
