Gillian Anderson, known for her role as the unflappable Dana Scully, was surprisingly lost for words when she saw her incredibly realistic wax figure unveiled on Wednesday.
The actress, famous for playing in The X-Files, was happy with how her wax figure turned out before it was displayed at Madame Tussauds in London.
For the past year, 57-year-old Anderson has been working with artists at the famous wax museum to create a wax figure of herself. The figure is modeled after her appearance at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, where she famously wore the ‘Vulva’ dress.
The figure is created to look just like the star, starting with careful measurements and reference photos, and involving collaboration on everything from the pose to the overall style.
Gillian first turned heads in the stunning floor-length gown, designed by Gabriela Hearst and featuring intricate embroidery. Now, Gabriela Hearst has generously donated the iconic dress to a famous museum.
As a style expert, I always say the right accessories can make an outfit. This look is perfectly finished with dazzling diamante jewelry, stunning metallic platform heels by Aquazzura, and a coordinating bag – it’s totally red carpet ready! It’s all about those finishing touches to elevate everything.

The actress looked shocked as she stood next to her wax figure before it was shown to everyone.
When Madame Tussauds contacted Pam Anderson about creating a wax figure of her, she was surprised. She wondered who would be interested in seeing a figure of her just standing there, rather than in one of her iconic roles.
That’s when I remembered the dress and thought, ‘Yes, recreating that Golden Globes moment would be perfect.’
The dress sparked a surprisingly large conversation, and I was thrilled to see so many people respond to it in positive ways, each for their own reasons.
This dress, to me, is about celebrating women’s strength and their right to feel confident in their own bodies, free from shame. I wanted people to experience its boldness and feel empowered by it.
Anderson has had a long and celebrated career, becoming well-known for memorable roles like Dana Scully on The X-Files and Dr. Jean Milburn in Sex Education.
The debut of this collectible figure happens alongside several exciting projects, including the Channel 4 drama Trespasses and the new Netflix Western, The Abandon, which will be released on December 4th.
Steve Blackburn, the General Manager of Madame Tussauds London, expressed his excitement about adding Gillian Anderson to their collection of famous figures, calling it a real privilege.

Working with Gillian has been wonderful – she’s a true icon of our time, equally at home in science fiction and on the red carpet.
The team meticulously recreated every aspect of her appearance, and we’re excited for visitors to see this stunning dress – a real showstopper donated by Gabriela Hearst – which will be displayed with Gillian’s first-ever figure.
Pamela Anderson recently shared with her Instagram followers that she’s both nervous and curious about seeing her wax figure for the first time in October. She admitted she’s having trouble accepting the idea of seeing a duplicate of herself and is especially interested to see what color hair the figure has.
I’m following the process now, but the reality of the situation won’t fully sink in until I see the final result.
I’m thrilled and truly honored to have completed my first session. I’ve never been questioned so thoroughly before – thanks to everyone who participated!
