The Vivienne’s posthumous ITV cameo reveals first look
G’wed has revealed a sneak peek of The Vivienne’s appearance on the program, which was recorded prior to their passing this month.
I’m heartbroken to share that the incredible contestant from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 1, who shone so brightly, left us too soon on January 5 at just 32 years old. Many figures within our industry have expressed their condolences and paid tribute to this remarkable drag artist, as we all mourn the loss of such a vibrant spirit.
On the 15th of January, I came across some exciting news: The beloved celebrity will make an appearance in the upcoming second season of “G’wed,” the hilarious ITV sitcom that delves into the lives and challenges faced by a group of teenagers living in Liverpool. Can’t wait to see this!
In the premiere of the second season, The Vivienne’s character, who is a nightclub proprietor, takes notice of and admires Dominic Murphy’s comedic abilities. As a result, she extends an offer to him for a drink.
Three pictures depict The Vivienne, known for her role in the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, getting ready for her performance behind the scenes. Another picture captures her close to the microphone.
Everyone involved in the production was deeply affected by the loss of The Vivienne, and as a result, the initial episode will be a tribute to them,” Mario Stylianides, our executive producer, commented after the news became public.
Vivienne was an inspiring figure who boldly paved the way, and it was a great privilege for us to learn they admired our show, ‘G’wed.’ We were thrilled when they accepted the invitation to debut in the first episode of the new season. They will forever remain dear to us and an integral part of the ‘G’wed’ family.
In the upcoming second season of “G’wed,” produced by Danny Kenny, it appears they’ll delve into topics such as consent, age difference relationships, and ethical ways to earn income while still attending school. The fresh episodes are set to debut on February 6th, with a third season already given the go-ahead.
G’wed returns on ITV2 and ITVX on February 6.
