It appears that Russell Crowe, who played the Gladiator, aged 61, and his fiancée, Britney Theriot, 32, have been surrounded by wedding speculation for some time now. However, it seems that Crowe is finally prepared to tie the knot and embark on married life.

According to a source familiar with the actor, Russell is planning to lose weight for his upcoming film set in Bavaria, titled ‘The Weight’ with Ethan Hawke. Interestingly, he also mentioned that he wanted to be fit and trim for his wedding day to Britney.

‘He’s been getting heat from his boys for stringing Britney along and avoiding setting a date.

The source disclosed that now that he has returned to his optimal “suitable-for-grooming” weight, there can be no more justifications for anything.

It comes after Russell ignited rumours he is set to tie the knot with Britney in Rome.

It was rumored earlier this year that the couple might have been considering an Italian wedding, as they supposedly visited a church while in the city on their recent trip.

In the year 2020, this pair began their romantic journey, and they traveled to Rome the previous year. This was during a time when Russell and his band, The Gentlemen Barbers, were giving a performance at the Forum Theatre.

During their luxury vacation, they were seen exploring various attractions, and it’s said that they also paid a visit to a church within the city.

According to a source, Italy was the chosen location for their wedding from the start, as each visit only deepened their love for one another. (Woman’s Day)
