The Traitors US Season 4 Episodes 4-5 Recap: Colton Underwood Leads The Roundtable

Season 4 of The Traitors is back on Peacock with a double-episode premiere. The episodes revealed that Donna Kelce was secretly a Traitor and was correctly banished by the group. Throughout the first three episodes, Ian Terry and Porsha Williams were also eliminated from the game.

Episodes four and five were filled with drama and conflicting emotions. Colton Underwood seemed to be the dominant force, influencing how most of the contestants thought. The question was whether his strong opinions were genuine, or if his outspokenness was a way to distract from him potentially being a ‘Traitor’.

Lisa Rinna, Candiace Dillard-Bassett, and Rob Rausch are secretly the Traitors, and so far, the other players haven’t figured it out.

Episode 4: “Cut The Head Off The Snake”

The latest episode begins with a quick review of what happened before, revealing that Caroline Stanbury was previously eliminated. Lisa Rinna believed that eliminating another cast member would distract suspicion from herself, and it seems her plan worked.

Colton Underwood heavily implied that Tiffany Mitchell was the show’s antagonist, a risky strategy given her proven skills and strategic gameplay from her time on Big Brother. He dedicated much of the morning to convincing others to vote her out.

While the ideas were good, the scenes of the cast eating breakfast felt slow while they waited for Alan Cumming to start the first challenge. In the fourth episode, the group went into the woods to find spears, which they then had to light on fire and throw at a large target.

Okay, so here’s the thing: everyone had a creature guarding them, but with a special shield. The twist was, whoever found this one particular spear could light someone else’s shield on fire. And if your shield went up in flames, you were basically facing the chopping block at the next big meeting – a really high-stakes game, honestly!

Ultimately, Ron Fuches, Tiffany Mitchell, Monét X-Change, Michael Rapaport, Tara Lapinski, Stephen Colletti, Lisa Rinna, Maura Higgins, Johnny Weir, and Yam Yam were at risk of being eliminated. The group was very tense after the challenge, as many felt betrayed by people they thought they could trust, who had deliberately put them in a vulnerable position.

Honestly, I was really watching Maura after Ron targeted her with his shield – she was clearly out for revenge. And Colton just wouldn’t let it go that Tiffany was the biggest threat, constantly bringing up her gameplay. It was a messy night at the round table, with everyone scrambling to defend themselves and blaming each other for everything!

The biggest surprise came when Eric Nam accused Tiffany of being a Traitor, saying he was almost certain he’d heard her laugh after he secretly asked the Traitors to reveal themselves. In the end, Eric and Colton convinced everyone, and Tiffany was eliminated. However, it turned out they made a mistake, as Tiffany was actually one of the Faithful players.

Episode 5: “If You’re Gonna Come for Me, I’ll Finish You”

The latest season of “If You’re Gonna Come for Me, I’ll Finish You” kicked off with the cast anxiously gathering for breakfast, eager to find out who had been eliminated. Everyone slowly entered the dining room, except for Monét X-Change, who had been secretly murdered by the Traitors after he figured out Lisa Rinna was one of them.

Everyone was surprised and upset to learn that Monét had been eliminated. This immediately caused the remaining players to start trying to figure out who the Traitors were. Suspicion quickly fell on Colton Underwood and Ron Funches, and small groups formed to try and expose them. Many believed both men were forceful in their opinions and strategically deceptive.

We’d just been talking about the recent murder when our first job of the day started. It took us to the Fountain of the Faithful, right here on the castle grounds. The task? We had to wade into some really dirty water to find these special tokens – each one showed a picture of another fountain statue. It wasn’t pleasant, but we needed those tokens!

As a horror movie fan, I was really intrigued by this setup. So, there were these shields near the statues that could actually save people from being killed. But here’s the kicker: if the group decided, as a team, not to take the shields, they could prevent that night’s murder altogether! It would totally mess up the killers’ plans, which I thought was a brilliant twist.

After the mission was finished, Alan remained tight-lipped about whether anyone had secretly taken a shield. This silence fueled suspicion among the group, and Colton immediately accused Michael of wrongdoing, as he had done before. Ron also believed Michael was the traitor, pointing to his anxious behavior as evidence.

Michael rightly pointed out to Colton that he’d misjudged Tiffany – she was one of the Faithful players, not a Traitor. Colton came across as overly accusatory, which ironically made him seem suspicious to Michael.

During a discussion that night, a disagreement between Colton and Michael escalated when Michael made a hurtful comment. He implied Colton was hiding his sexuality—that he was gay—while on the show The Bachelorette. Michael’s remark suggested Colton was particularly skilled at keeping secrets, referencing a part of his personal life that wasn’t publicly known at the time.

The group decided they no longer wanted Michael around due to his hurtful and harsh way of acting, not because they believed he was secretly working against them. Surprisingly, he was removed from the group even though he was actually one of the loyal members.

Colton continued to dominate the competition throughout the episode, leading viewers to wonder if he was secretly a Traitor himself. The situation became even more complicated when he set his sights on Lisa Rinna, forcing the Traitors to decide whether to eliminate him or risk him targeting her next. To see what happens next, watch episode 6 of The Traitors season 4 on Peacock on January 22, 2026, at 9 PM EST.
