The Traitors Series 3 Premiere Breaks Records with Over 10 Million Viewers!

The first episode of The Traitors series three, has been watched by over 10m viewers to date.

In a new installment of the BBC program, an impressive 2.2 million viewers aged between 16 and 34 chose to watch, surpassing the previous record for the show’s most-watched episode.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the third installation of The Traitors has broken records as the largest BBC unscripted episode since the premiere of Planet Earth III, and it has also attracted the biggest audience for an Entertainment program on BBC since the 2023 Eurovision Grand Final.

Since the introduction of the new BARB audience measurement system in 2022, it has attracted the largest on-demand viewership for an unscripted program to date.

In addition, Episodes 2 and 3 have been watched by over 9m each so far.

Kalpna Patel-Knight, who leads Entertainment at the BBC, stated: “Series 3 of The Traitors has attracted an incredibly loyal and burgeoning audience. In fact, over 10 million viewers have tuned in to watch episode 1 so far for this scheduled viewing.

This show is an ideal watch for January, offering plenty of surprises and plot twists that will leave you guessing until the end. Once again, Claudia Winkleman and Studio Lambert’s talented team have created a masterful production!

The climactic last week is poised for a jaw-dropping turn of events, with formidable antagonists Charlotte Berman and Minah Shannon intensifying their scheme to secure the grand prize.

Only three more episodes remain for the cherished BBC series, during which Minah and Charlotte will attempt to swipe as much as £120,000 in winnings from the Faithfuls in a tense climax.

However, according to The Sun, there’s an unexpected turn of events where one Loyalist could potentially halt the duo in their progress.

In the closing moments of last Friday’s show, the unexpected turn was hinted at by host Claudia Winkleman as she announced: ‘A contestant stands to gain a remarkable ability that might completely alter the course of the game.’

At the conclusion of last Friday’s broadcast, a sneak peek revealed a bookshelf within the renowned castle, featuring a single book named “The Seer.

The Seer is a character from the 1980s party game Werewolf – which The Traitors is based on.

In the social gathering game known as Villagers and Werewolves, the role of The Seer allows them to learn confidentially another player’s true character, aiding the Villagers in their quest.

According to a source, designating one character as ‘The Seer’ might take control away from Charlotte and Minah, potentially overturning the whole scenario completely.

If someone manages to uncover the Traitor’s true identity before the final meeting, it could be a game-changer.

‘All will be revealed tomorrow, but installing The Seer would be an amazing twist.’

With the Final Week approaching, the loyal team members Alexander Dragonetti, Francesca Rowan-Plowden, Freddie Fraser, Jake Brown, Joe Scott, Leanne Quigley, along with traitors Minah and Charlotte, are all working hard to increase the reward pot.
