The Traitors’ Mollie Pearce admits she ‘spent a lifetime with my body betraying me’ before life-changing bowel surgery and reveals what she REALLY thinks about Harry Clark
Mollie Pearce confessed that for a long time, her body had been unfaithful to her before undergoing transformative bowel surgery, during which she shared her renewed self-assurance.
The actress from “The Traitors,” set to appear on this year’s season of Dancing on Ice, was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis – a bowel condition that leads to inflammation and ulcers in the colon – at the age of 11.
In an open conversation with The Sun, the 22-year-old model shared her experience of how stoma surgery significantly transformed her life. She expressed, “I used to find it challenging to step out due to intense anxiety about not reaching the toilet quickly enough in public, a situation that occasionally happened when I was severely unwell.
At the age of 18, Mollie, who was born without some fingers on her right hand, underwent a seven-hour operation to take out her colon and create a stoma.
Struggling to come to terms with her illness, she admitted, “For years, my body has been at odds with me, working against me rather than for me. Yet, despite the occasional tough mental battles, I’m now embracing a fresh start and improved well-being.
Mollie shared that simply enjoying a meal and drinks outside, something she couldn’t do before her surgery, now feels incredibly wonderful.
She wouldn’t have been capable of participating in television programs such as The Traitors or Dancing On Ice, for she found the entire concept utterly wild and unbelievable.
Viewers were left yearning to walk through their television sets to offer a comforting embrace to Mollie, as she experienced betrayal at the hands of Harry Clark during the season finale of The Traitors in early 2021.
Instead of winning an impressive £95,150 prize, the model forfeited it to Harry, who played exceptionally well in the game.
Initially, it seemed that the audience believed Mollie harbored romantic feelings towards Harry, but now Mollie clarifies they had only viewed each other as friends.
To be completely transparent, it hadn’t crossed my mind at all. The intense discussion surrounding it was primarily due to the unexpected twist in its conclusion.
During the shooting process, it was noted that both Mollie and Harry were involved in romantic partnerships. Notably, Harry was continuing his relationship with Anna, who happens to be Connor Maynard’s sister.
Nevertheless, Mollie parted ways with her long-time companion Max Backwell in October, stating then that their separation was friendly.

Mollie quipped: “I believe I’ve watched that particular clip close to a hundred times now. It seems everyone insists on sharing it. At this moment, I must admit, I’m starting to feel somewhat desensitized by it…”Yes, viewing it again isn’t particularly enjoyable anymore.
Even though she didn’t emerge victorious from the competition, participating in it transformed her life significantly. In fact, she managed to bring attention to issues that hold special importance to her heart.
She commented: “A year ago at this very time, I was working as a healthcare assistant, but I haven’t returned to that role since the day of the final.
Reframing the situation honestly, it has undergone a complete turnaround in my life. To express my sincere gratitude, I can only say that it has played an immense role in shaping who I am today. Simply put, it has altered virtually every aspect of my existence.
Speaking about my unique circumstances, having a limb difference, inflammatory bowel disease, and a stoma bag, provides me with an extensive stage for advocacy. It has had a profoundly positive effect on me.
