The Traitors and Strictly fan favourites confirmed as part of new Celebrity Mastermind line-up

The lineup for the new series of Celebrity Mastermind is here, and it includes stars you might recognize from shows like The Traitors and Strictly Come Dancing. Alexander Dragonetti, who appeared on The Traitors last year, and Strictly professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin are among those who will be facing questions from host Clive Myrie.

Beloved comedians Desiree Burch and Lucy Beaumont, known from Taskmaster, plus Emmerdale actor Bradley Riches and drag star Tia Kofi from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, will all be featured in the new season of the show, which starts next week with fourteen episodes.

The event will also feature Will Best, host of Big Brother, Richie Anderson from Radio 2, and Montell Douglas, known as Fire from Gladiators. They’ll be testing their knowledge on topics like the Bridget Jones movies, the history of Marvel comics, The Vicar of Dibley, Christopher Eccleston’s time as Doctor Who, and the actor Danny Dyer.

Host Myrie explained that she wants to encourage the contestants, focusing on their accomplishments rather than failures. She hopes viewers will root for them and celebrate their skills and perseverance as they progress through the competition on Mastermind. It’s about valuing their ability and journey, not just waiting for mistakes.

Look, when I’m gaming and I can see another player is really struggling – like, totally overwhelmed – I’m instantly rooting for them to pull through. Seriously, it feels amazing when they do! It’s a great feeling for me, and I bet anyone watching feels the same way.

It’s a celebration of learning and the happiness that comes from people reaching their full potential.
