After a four-year search, Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo discovered their perfect home in an unexpected way.

Former Made In Chelsea stars, who are expecting a baby, shared photos of their beautifully renovated London home on Thursday, after 14 months of work.

Jamie, 36, and Sophie, 30, shared the story of how they found their £12 million home, explaining it was a matter of luck. They said fate played a role in them securing the luxurious property.

She called her grandson, eager to tell him she’d found the ideal buyers for his house, and coincidentally, Sophie and Jamie scheduled a viewing that very day.

Jamie was initially unsure about the house, but Sophie loved it immediately. She was so eager to buy it that she jokingly threatened to divorce her husband if he didn’t make an offer. They submitted their offer that same day.

After more than a year of renovations to create their dream home, Jamie was excited to share the finished result on social media.

He shared that he and his wife recently bought their first house and immediately began renovating. After 14 months, countless disagreements, and a rocky patch in their marriage, they’ve finally completed the project.

Jamie looked delighted as he walked around his large marble kitchen island and over to his stainless steel American-style fridge-freezer.

Warm lighting and white wood paneling created a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and four skylights filled the room with bright, natural light.

The kitchen was open and airy, featuring curved doorways. A pantry was conveniently located nearby, and the living area was slightly elevated, creating a subtle division between the two spaces.

Sophie told The Standard that the kitchen was the most crucial room in her renovation. She’d always dreamed of a large kitchen with a spacious island, believing it to be the central gathering place of a home.

Jamie’s ultimate treat is relaxing in his home cinema. It’s fully equipped with comfy striped carpeting, top-of-the-line speakers, and even a bar stocked with plenty of sweets from his own Candy Kittens company.

He explained his fondness for the luxurious room, saying that growing up he was fascinated by movies. Having his own home cinema, where he and his family could relax with popcorn, felt like a dream come true.

Sophie joked that going to the cinema wasn’t their first choice, explaining that Jamie had initially envisioned something else for the basement.

She jokingly mentioned that Jamie had originally wanted to install a golf simulator in the basement, but they were able to convince him that a home cinema would be a better use of the space.

They started as friends in 2019, and their relationship blossomed into romance. After getting engaged in 2021, they married in a beautiful, elaborate wedding in Spain in 2023.

In June, the couple shared the exciting news that they were expecting their first child. They also changed the name of their popular podcast from Newlyweds to NearlyParents to reflect their upcoming journey into parenthood.
