The touching reason why Jeff Brazier signed up to Celebrity Race Across the World revealed

As a dedicated follower and avid fan, I wholeheartedly admire Jeff Brazier for his selfless decision to participate in Celebrity Race Across The World. His heartfelt intention to spend quality time with his son Freddie before he potentially moves out resonates deeply with me, as I too have experienced the bittersweet passage of time and the urgency to create cherished memories with my loved ones.

Jeff Brazier has revealed the touching reason why he signed up to Celebrity Race Across The World.

The television host, aged 45, emotionally expressed his desire to spend as much quality time as possible with his son Freddie before it’s too late, resulting in them both appearing on the program together.

He has sons Bobby (age 21) and Freddie (age 19), who were shared with the late reality TV star Jade Goody, known for her time on Big Brother; she passed away in 2009 at 27 after a tough fight against cervical cancer.

According to Jeff, he decided to participate for the opportunity to travel, which is a great privilege in itself, as well as to create lasting memories with his son.

As a parent who has watched my children grow up too quickly, I find myself cherishing the moments with my youngest son more than ever. He’s no longer a boy but a young man, and it seems like just yesterday when he was learning to walk and talk. Time flies by so fast, and I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia as I watch him grow independent.

In the premiere of the series, I shared my excitement about the opportunity to bond with my son, as we embark on this journey alongside other well-known personalities, in the unique setting of a reality travel show.

He mentioned that he’s eagerly anticipating the opportunity to discover and understand even more about his son.

1. ‘He’s often not at home, which means we don’t spend much time together, but the advantage of this journey is that he’s traveling with me, and I’m able to keep him company all the time.’

However, Jeff playfully remarked that Freddie wasn’t the most reliable decision-maker, sharing with his son on camera how he chose to meet a girl over preparing for their planned trip.

He said: ‘One of those moments was last night when you should have been packing for our trip but instead you travelled to see a girl. Classic Fred.’

After the complete schedule was disclosed, Freddie shared his enthusiasm about the upcoming series, mentioning that it offered a precious opportunity to spend quality time with his father.

He said: ‘100%. It’ll be nice to spend that time with Dad, just me and my dad.

Dad has a very active schedule, often working extensively, which leaves fewer opportunities for one-on-one activities between us.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can confidently say that life’s simple pleasures truly make me feel fortunate. Be it a trip to the cinema or a visit to the driving range, each moment brings its unique charm. It’s these everyday experiences that I cherish most.

In my passionate fervor, I’d find myself bidding adieu to opulent vehicles, sleek smartphones, and trusted bank cards. Instead, I would embrace the art of survival using my wits, guile, and resourcefulness. The generosity of strangers would become my lifeline in this captivating adventure!

Joining Jeff on the show are Ted Lasso’s Kola Bokinni and his cousin, Mary Ellen.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I, too, find myself eagerly anticipating the remarkable adventure that model and actress, Kelly Brook, 44, and her spouse, Jeremy Parisi, have chosen to embark upon – the race of a lifetime!

Scott Mills and his spouse-to-be, Sam, are also joining the competition with the aim of being declared victorious.

Among the celebrities, their closest friends and family members will also participate, offering an exclusive perspective on individuals we believed we understood well, as seen through the eyes of those most intimate with them.

Tim Harcourt, as Chief Creative Officer at Studio Lambert, shared: “Following the astounding success of the initial celebrity series and most recently the fourth season of our regular series – we’re eagerly anticipating taking viewers on a journey across the vast South American continent, showcasing its breathtaking landscapes. This race will undoubtedly test our celebrities and their families to their very limits.”

The Head of Commissioning for Factual Entertainment and Events, Catherine Catton, expressed her joy over the success of the celebrity Race Across the World, and is now thrilled to witness new famous participants and their families attempt this challenging yet incredibly fulfilling race. We eagerly anticipate following their remarkable journey.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the BAFTA-honored series, produced by Studio Lambert, is making its comeback! Tune in at 9pm on Wednesday, 14th August, only on BBC One and iPlayer.

After Jeff revealed the explanation behind his decision not to join the embattled program Strictly Come Dancing.

In a chat with Closer magazine, the TV host openly stated that, given the chance to participate in the upcoming season of the widely acclaimed ITV series, he would need to politely pass up on it.

He expressed that he wouldn’t feel right participating in the upcoming series, explaining it seemed to be more connected to his son, Bobby, and he prefers to keep that aspect of life for Bobby.

Last year, his son, Bobby Brazier, who is an actor on EastEnders, came in second place when he danced with his professional partner, Dianne Buswell. (Age and profession of Bobby Brazier added for clarity)

Reflecting on my son during our conversation, I couldn’t help but express my excitement. Bobby is incredibly fortunate to be following his dreams, particularly in the field of acting…

‘I don’t care what either of my boys do, as long as they’re nice people.’
