The Thing: Remastered Is Suddenly Out Now, Which Is Good
As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the release of The Thing: Remastered has brought a sense of nostalgia mixed with intrigue. Having grown up in the 80s and 90s, I remember playing the original game on my trusty old Xbox, so you can imagine my excitement when I heard about this remastered version.
Now available is the updated version of “The Thing”, so rejoice, yet also allow for a touch of perplexity since a specific release date has not been announced.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m thrilled to share that the captivating game I recently played was developed by Nightdive Studios. These masters are renowned for breathing new life into forgotten treasures of yesteryears, and their dedication to quality never ceases to impress me. This game is one that will undoubtedly linger in my memory, a testament to the magic they weave with their work.
Released in 2002, this game was available on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC platforms. It followed the storyline right after the events depicted in John Carpenter’s 1982 film of the same name. For years, Carpenter has maintained that the game continues the narrative from the movie’s unclear ending. Interestingly, Carpenter himself makes a cameo appearance in this game.
If you haven’t given it a go yet, maybe it’s worth exploring; it’s quite daring, offering an atmosphere filled with apprehension and suspicion which adds an exciting layer to the gameplay.
The Thing: Remastered has been released! You can find it on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.
