The Thing: Remastered is Now Available For Xbox

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for survival horror classics, I must say that the release of The Thing: Remastered by Nightdive Studios has sent a chill down my spine. Having fond memories of the 2002 version and the original John Carpenter film, I can’t wait to jump back into the paranoia-inducing world of Outpost #31.

Today, Nightdive Studios officially released their remastered version of “The Thing” after its release date was accidentally disclosed earlier in the week.

The updated version of the popular 2002 survival horror shooter game, “The Thing: Remastered,” now features high-definition 4K resolution with smooth frame rates up to 120fps, advanced ‘per pixel’ lighting effects, antialiasing, and other enhancements.

The narrative continues post the incidents depicted in the iconic 1982 John Carpenter horror film, with Captain JF Blake and his elite US Special Forces team dispatched to investigate the mysterious events surrounding the doomed Antarctic research station, Outpost #31.

Eventually, you’ll encounter an alien entity that can mimic the appearance of those it eliminates, causing distress and panic among your team members. Your task will be to maintain their trust and bolster their courage during this challenging time.

I just couldn’t wait any longer to dive back into the chilling world of “The Thing: Remastered”! This horror classic is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with a budget-friendly price tag of $29.99/£24.99. Let the paranoia begin!
