Team Liquid Brazil’s captain made a strong statement in her first match at the 2025 VALORANT Game Changers Championship against KRÜ Blaze, proving she belonged back on the international scene after sitting out 2024. After the match, daiki spoke about her own play, highlighted her team’s strengths, and shared their optimism for the rest of the tournament.

Team Liquid’s daiki believes both her team and MIBR have a strong chance of reaching the championship match. She feels confident and well-prepared for the challenges ahead, noting a significant improvement in her own gameplay since 2022. This year, Team Liquid Brazil appears fully capable of winning the championship.

Daiki wasn’t able to follow the entire tournament last year, which was tough for him. He said being back this year is really meaningful, and he’s determined to show himself – and everyone else – that he’s still developing and getting better, both personally and professionally.

Coach Caio “napz” Sousa believes this recent update is a big advantage for Team Liquid Brazil, letting them dictate how the game flows and make the most of their skills and strategies. This proved true as the team earned their first win of the tournament.

TL Vitoria, known as “Bizerra” Vieira, highlighted daiki’s importance to the team, describing her as a crucial pillar. She explained that daiki has shown incredible growth since the team’s inception, developing significantly as both a person and a player, and becoming a strong leader during games. Bizerra believes the team’s current success is largely due to daiki’s contributions.

I’ll always be grateful to daiki – they really helped me believe in myself when I was first starting out. Honestly, they’re one of the biggest inspirations and most important people in the whole scene, as far as I’m concerned.

South American battle

As a fan, it was clear Team Liquid Brazil and KRÜ Blaze knew each other’s game really well. Both teams came ready to show what they could do, but Liquid was just on another level. They completely controlled the maps, stayed so calm under pressure, and just made it incredibly hard for KRÜ to compete. Honestly, it felt like Liquid was calling all the shots, knowing exactly when and where everything would happen.

Corrode excelled through strong leadership and aggressive gameplay. Team captain daiki consistently delivered in crucial moments, demonstrating her skill on the international level, and Jelly’s strategic plays consistently put the team in a commanding position.

Ugh, as a KRÜ fan, I’m trying to forget that Bind game! Liquid came out strong, and even though we managed to snag the bonus round, they really seemed to rattle us. But honestly, I was so proud of how KRÜ didn’t give up. They fought tooth and nail right to the very end, even when things looked tough.

What comes next?

Team Liquid Brazil will advance to play the winner of the match between G2 Gozen and NOVA Esports. Both potential opponents will be tough competitors. G2 Gozen has a lot of experience in tournaments, and NOVA Esports has been playing exceptionally well.

KRÜ Blaze and GIANTX are facing off in a crucial match where the losing team will be eliminated from the tournament. It’s a do-or-die situation as they battle for survival in the lower bracket.
