Dear Valued Patrons,
We appreciate your continued passion and patronage towards The Tale of Food. It’s been a pleasure sharing with you the intricacies of Chinese culinary traditions. Your excitement and admiration for our game have not gone unnoticed.
Regrettably, we are compelled to inform you about a temporary closure notice affecting The Tale of Food Service. We hope this notice does not cause undue inconvenience.
Best Regards,
The Management Team of The Tale of Food— The Tale of Food (@Tale_of_Food_EN) February 17, 2025
Sadly, I have to share some news from The Tale of Food team. They announced on X (previously known as Twitter) that the game will be closing down on March 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). In their announcement, they expressed that after evaluating the game’s current state, they are sorry to say that The Tale of Food will no longer be operational from that date.
You can play and use all in-game items and also request refunds
presently, the option to make in-game purchases or create new accounts has been suspended. The game is no longer available for download on Google Play and App Store. If you already have the game installed, you’re free to continue playing it up until the end date, using all in-game items such as Jewels during that time.
As a gamer here, I’ve got some good news for fellow gamers like myself! If you purchased Jewels for our beloved game between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, don’t forget that you have until March 20th, 2025 to request a refund for any unused ones. You can easily submit your requests through the in-game support system or by sending an email.
On a brighter note, I’m pleased to share that our game’s communities will continue to thrive and grow even after this announcement. Let’s keep gaming together!
Another popular game is ceasing operations, leaving fans disappointed and some even requesting an offline mode similar to the style of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. A Chinese netizen suggested a spin-off version available in China that incorporates past storylines, offering hope for a similar development in the global release.
