The Studio Season 2: You Won’t Believe the Hilarious Title of the New Script!
Among the few TV series that have premiered on the 2025 TV lineup, “The Studio” has been one of my top picks. This Apple TV+ exclusive series starring Seth Rogen as Matt Remick trying to manage Continental Studios strikes a fantastic balance between being laugh-out-loud funny and awkwardly cringe-worthy (in an enjoyable manner). So I was delighted when it was revealed last month that “The Studio” will return for a second season, and now I’m chuckling over the title of a script rumored to be featured in the upcoming season.
The details we have originate from Evan Goldberg, a co-creator of The Studio, along with Rogen, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez. In an interview with Deadline, he disclosed that they’ve actually had a script prepared for Season 2 for quite some time now. Unfortunately, plans to utilize it during the first season didn’t work out.
There’s a completed script we plan to use in Season 2 titled ‘The Test Screening.’ We spent several months working on it as it needed a highly-specific performer. Almost secured that actor, but their schedule was too full, leaving us no choice but to search for an alternative.
More Stories About The Studio

Following the buzz around Apple TV+’s production “The Studio”, I finally gave it a watch, and there were a couple of aspects that left me taken aback.
I Believe That Bryan Cranston Delivered the Most Humorous Television Act of 2025 up to Now, in the Studio Finale, and he did so predominantly through Non-verbal Expressions.
Previously, Peter Huyck and Frida Perez informed me that during Season 1 of “The Studio,” some entire episodes were postponed due to unavailability of certain actors, directors, and other key Hollywood personnel. Recently, we’ve discovered an instance where this happened, although Evan Goldberg didn’t reveal the actor’s identity. Let’s hope they can fit it into their schedule for Season 2, as I am eagerly anticipating “The Studio” exploring test screenings – a process where the general public gets to view upcoming films early and share their opinions on them.
In “The Test Screening,” it seems that the situation may resemble what occurred in “Casting.” There, Matt and his colleagues initially felt that casting Ice Cube as the voice of the Kool-Aid Man could be perceived as racially insensitive due to him being Black. This led them to consider changing the voice actors for Kool-Aid throughout the day. However, they eventually decided to stick with Ice Cube as the voice of the iconic mascot.

Don’t miss out on “The Studio” any longer! Try Apple TV+ with a 7-day free trial and catch up. For new customers, the streaming service is accessible for a full week before regular payment of $9.99 per month. Additionally, you’ll find “Platonic,” another series starring Seth Rogen, there. In our revised scenario, the Continental Studios team reacts drastically when they hear even a single unfavorable comment during a test screening, whether it’s for Kool-Aid or another project. They overstep in trying to address these criticisms, ultimately making the film worse and scrambling frantically to undo their changes.
Perhaps my concept for “The Test Screening” might not align with its ultimate creative path, but I’m certain that this episode of The Studio will continue to bring the humor we’ve come to expect from all the episodes in Season 1. This anticipation only intensifies as I look forward to Season 2, although it seems quite a distance away.
