The Split star’s new drama Dead And Buried confirms release date
As a fan who’s seen my fair share of thrillers and mysteries, I can confidently say that the upcoming BBC series, Dead And Buried, is right up my alley. The intriguing plot twist and the enigmatic characters have me hooked already! Annabel Scholey’s performance as Cathy in this revenge-driven drama promises to be nothing short of captivating, and with Colin Morgan (who I fondly remember from Humans) joining the cast, it’s a recipe for an unforgettable viewing experience.
The Split star Annabel Scholey’s new BBC series Dead And Buried has confirmed a release date.
The upcoming series centers around a woman in her youth, who encounters the individual responsible for her sibling’s death from two decades ago. Driven by vengeance, she embarks on a personal quest.
As a long-time fan of the BBC, I am thrilled to share the news that my favorite show is finally making its return! With years of waiting and anticipation, I can hardly contain my excitement as I mark my calendar for Monday, September 2nd. That’s right – the show will premiere on BBC One Northern Ireland at 10:40 PM, a time slot that I have grown accustomed to setting aside for this incredible program.
The story, titled “Dead And Buried“, revolves around Cathy (Scholey) as she encounters Michael (Colin Morgan), a man previously sentenced for the murder of her brother Terry, which occurred about twenty years ago.
Upon discovering that Michael reestablished a thriving career and family life following his early prison discharge, Cathy elects to establish an online persona to cultivate friendship with him.
In the course of their covert romance, she simultaneously embarks on a hidden smear campaign to unmask Michael.
In addition to Kerri Quinn from “The Witcher: Blood Origin”, Waj Ali from “Carnival Row”, Owen Roe from “Vikings”, Niamh Walsh from “The Sandman”, Joanne Crawford from “Blue Lights”, and Micheal Hanna, the show also features these notable stars.
The creator of “Doc Martin,” Colin Bateman, expressed that the series Dead And Buried will leave viewers guessing due to the numerous false leads, causing them to question who is trustworthy.
It seems uncertain if Cathy has some secret plans or if Michael has genuinely changed, perhaps he still possesses the potential for aggressive behavior.
Director Laura Way stated: “The screenplay for Dead And Buried not only keeps audiences engaged and intrigued, but it also delves into complex issues that are distinctive to the past and present Northern Ireland and its border regions. This adds a richness and complexity to the series beyond what is typically found in thrillers, addressing topics such as recurring violence and forgiveness.”
On the gaming front, I’m stoked to share that the thrilling series, “Dead And Buried,” debuts on Monday, September 2, airing on BBC One Northern Ireland at 10:40 PM sharp. Better yet, you can binge-watch the entire season as soon as the clock strikes 10 PM, right here on iPlayer!
