The Split and Broadchurch stars join UK-set series filled with “high-octane action” and “suspense”

Actors known for their roles in “The Split” and “Broadchurch” are now part of an exciting, high-speed action series stemming from the “Has Fallen” movie franchise.

Apollo Crashed” continues the saga started in 2024’s “Paris in Peril,” with actors Ritu Arya and Tewfik Jallab reprising their roles as Zara Taylor and Vincent Taleb. They are in a race against time to prevent a lethal virus from spreading across Europe, putting the continent at risk.

It is now officially announced that Annabel Scholey from “The Split” and Arthur Darvill from “Broadchurch” have been added to the cast, joining the likes of Jacek Koman (“Conclave”), Richard Dormer (“Game of Thrones”), Charlotte Spencer (“The Gold”), and Aylin Tezel (“Scrapper”).

Once again, screenwriter Howard Overman is penning the script for the upcoming eight episodes. The production crew will be traveling through various locations in the United Kingdom, Malta, and Spain to shoot these episodes.

In the upcoming adventure, Apollo Hawkes, alongside Taylor and Taleb, will face their most exhilarating assignment to date. This time, they’ll grapple with mercenaries and their haunting pasts after a hijack incident. Throughout this ordeal, they remain uncertain about who among them can be relied upon.

Amidst a chilling pandemic that’s sweeping across Europe, I find myself and my partner, Zara, on the brink. We’re grappling with treachery, heart-wrenching moments, and decisions that seem impossible to make. The plot thickens as we navigate through this harrowing ordeal.

In a tense situation where many lives are at stake and time is running out, can they manage to outsmart the ruthless mercenary leader Yuri Mishkin (Koman), or will his sinister scheme of mayhem prevail?

This pulse-racing thriller takes its audience from the shores of Libya to the city streets of Madrid, leaving them breathless with suspense and uncertainty right up until the climactic finale.

As a devoted admirer, I eagerly anticipate the return of the series from Urban Myth Films, with its creators, Julian Murphy and Johnny Capps promising a rollercoaster ride filled with pulse-pounding action, heart-stopping thrills, and nail-biting suspense.

It’s incredibly rewarding that the movie “Paris Has Fallen” has managed to create a global fanbase, reaching over 170 territories. Not only that, but it’s truly an honor to be able to reintroduce our beloved characters and watch them face new trials in uncharted territories and unfamiliar challenges.

Paris Has Fallen streams on Prime Video in the UK.
