The Sims Mobile to end service on November 4, marking the end of an era
Most people are familiar with The Sims Mobile, the popular life simulation game inspired by The Sims 4, originally created by Maxis. For those who haven’t played, the game lets you design individual Sims, construct homes, form families, and guide their lives.
Hi Sims players,
We’re sharing some difficult news. After seven years and over 50 updates, we’re releasing a final update for The Sims Mobile. Starting January 20, 2026, at 1:59 PM UTC, the game will no longer be available.
Starting today, we’ve stopped all in-app purchases.

I was really bummed to hear from The Sims Mobile team on X (formerly Twitter) that the game is shutting down on November 4th. They said they hope we enjoy the last update and use these final months to finish up anything we’re working on, make some good memories, and just celebrate our Sims. It’s sad to see it go, but I’m glad they want us to go out with a bang!
Events will continue to run till the end, but no refunds will be provided
The game has been taken off app stores and you can no longer make purchases within it. However, you can still use any SimCash, Simoleons, or Tickets you already have until the game officially shuts down. The latest update gives you unlimited energy so you can enjoy playing until then.
Beginning January 6, 2026, all items in Build Mode and the Create A Sim feature will be immediately available to all players – you won’t need to reach any specific level to unlock them. Events will still happen as usual, letting you earn Simoleons and rewards, but we won’t be offering any refunds for previous purchases.
It’s really disappointing to see a game with such a dedicated fanbase end like this. The stop in new updates and events earlier this year already suggested this might happen. Many players were also upset that there was no way to play offline, with one saying, “This is depressing and a waste of the money I spent.”
