
After 25 years, the executive producer of The Simpsons is stepping down, marking a change for the iconic animated show. The Simpsons is currently airing its 37th season with new episodes every Sunday on Fox. The show has been picked up through season 40, which will include 15 regular episodes per season, plus two additional specials on Disney+.
Big changes are coming to The Simpsons. Al Jean, the show’s current showrunner, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he’ll be stepping down after the episode “Bad Boys…For Life?” airs on November 2nd, following the completion of season 37. While he’s still involved with the show, he won’t be leading it as showrunner anymore.
