The Simpsons confirms iconic character’s replacement following star exit
The popular series, The Simpsons, has brought on a new voice actor for the well-known character, Milhouse, after Pamela Hayden decided to leave the program.
In November, it was revealed that Hayden had decided to retire from the show after playing the role of Bart Simpson’s friend Milhouse Van Houten for over three and a half decades.
Affirming that Hayden is stepping down, it’s been revealed that Kelly Macleod is set to make her first appearance as Milhouse in the season 36 finale titled ‘Estranger Things’. This episode will be broadcasted in the US on Sunday, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

After leaving the show, Hayden announced that she was choosing to explore different prospects instead.
It’s time for me to retire my microphone, but it’s not easy to bid farewell to The Simpsons. That’s what she expressed through Deadline.
I’ve truly enjoyed being part of this innovative, humorous, and trailblazing production. It’s been a privilege to bring characters like Milhouse, Jimbo Jones, Rod Flanders, Janey, Malibu Stacy, and numerous others to life.
Cheers to all who helped make this wonderful journey of mine happen,” Hayden went on. “By the way, that blue-haired 10-year-old boy with glasses will forever hold a special place in my heart.
