The Sidemen Charity Match kicks off from Wembley Stadium
Once again, the Sidemen Charity Match is set for its sixth occurrence, bringing together some well-known online personalities in a fierce competition at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
Today marks the return of The Sidemen to the field as they square off against the YouTube All-Stars in the sixth edition of their Charity Match. Funds raised during this event will benefit both Bright Side and BBC Children in Need. This match is always a thrilling affair. With tickets for the event at Wembley Stadium selling out swiftly, the energy inside the stadium promises to be electrifying.
Sidemen kick it off with a shot towards the goal
From the get-go, The Sidemen launched an offensive assault. But before long, an unusual 20-second substitution was made by the YouTube Allstars. There were moments of amusement exchanged between both teams, and within six minutes, the action intensified into a penalty kick – which Joe Weller converted for The Sidemen.
Shortly after the initial goal, another penalty was given, this time favoring the YouTube Allstars. Unfortunately for Mr. Beast, he failed to score against XQC. However, it was ChrisMD who managed to tie the game with an impressive free kick just a few minutes afterwards.
From Wembley onwards, both teams were having a blast, yet no clear advantage emerged since they were evenly matched, with the game still tied as the 18-minute mark approached. However, Theo Baker capitalized on a well-placed header to score past XQC, putting the YouTube Allstars ahead for the first time.
Initially, The Allstars took control of the match, scoring another goal due to XQC’s mistake. Shortly after, Ishowspeed attempted another attack towards the opposing goals but was stopped. As they struggled to catch up, Simon Minter scored a goal for The Sidemen, reducing their deficit to one goal, with the score at 3-2 in favor of Allstars.
Ishowspeed continues to impress
Despite being behind in the game, Ishowspeed remained determined and tenacious, mirroring the spirit of Cristiano Ronaldo as he dashed along the field. With the Allstars pressing forward once more, Baker found the back of the net again, suggesting a sudden surge in scoring for their team.
