The show must go on! Strictly professionals return to work for 2024 series as Kai Widdrington joins Nikita Kuzmin and Neil Jones amid ongoing misconduct chaos

As a dedicated follower of Strictly Come Dancing for years, I have seen my fair share of ups and downs. The recent events surrounding the show have left me feeling disheartened and saddened.

On Mondays, the Strictly Come Dancing pros got back to business for the upcoming 2024 season. Spotted at the dance studio were Kai Widdrington, Nikita Kuzmin, and Neil Jones.

Since Amanda Abbinson accused Giovanni Pernice of abusive behavior on the BBC show, leading to his suspension, the program has been filled with dramatic allegations. He, however, denies these accusations, stating that he was never cruel or mean.

Last month, Graziano Di Prima was let go from his position due to accusations of verbally and physically abusing Zara McDermott during rehearsals. Graziano has issued an apology for having kicked his ex-partner, but denies that other alleged incidents match his recollection of the events.

At rehearsals this week, the dancers put aside any drama with cheerful Nikita giving a peace sign.

Also heading to the north London studio was Johannes Radebe, Carlos Gu and Lauren Oakley.

Next week, on a Friday, Ukrainian dancer Nikita, aged 26, announced his plan to return to the Strictly Come Dancing training room in just five days.

During his final performance alongside Layton Williams, he shared the news that he was getting ready to meet his new famous companion, according to The Sun’s report.

Over the past weekend, Strictly experienced even more excitement as Amanda filed new grievances, and it came to light that a female dancer is under investigation for alleged bullying behavior.

In her initial post-Strictly Come Dancing departure interview conducted in October, Amanda Abbington, aged 50, expressed that Giovanni’s actions were unwarranted.

Amanda suddenly stopped appearing on the BBC program, explaining it was due to “private matters.” She’s been absent from both the show and social media since her previous dancing partner was let go last month.

An investigation by the BBC is ongoing following claims made by Ms Abbington and two other ex-celebrity partners against Giovanni, who is 33 years old, resulting in his suspension.

During an interview with The Sun, Amanda expressed her concern over Giovanni’s actions towards her, finding them to be unwarranted, harmful, unkind, and unpleasant. She refused to remain silent as she witnessed him treating others in the same manner.

She added: “I gave it a lot of thought before deciding to file a complaint, aware of the potential repercussions. Yet, I couldn’t bear the thought of others experiencing what I went through.”
