Ranking the weapons based on gameplay

Seven Deadly Sins: Origins plays a lot like Genshin Impact, with a large open world to explore. Combat is similar to Arknights: Endfield, focusing on team-based combos. You build a team of four characters, each with unique elemental powers and roles. The game’s battle system is based on elemental strengths and weaknesses – think rock, paper, scissors – with eight different elements currently available.

A key feature that sets Seven Deadly Sins: Origins apart is its weapon system. Every character can use three different weapon types, and switching between them actually changes your character’s role – you can go from a damage dealer (DPS) to a healer, or even switch between tank and DPS, all based on the weapon you choose.

You can customize characters like King to play different roles – he can be a healer or a damage dealer, depending on the weapon you choose. Characters come in different rarities, either 5-star or 4-star, and weapons also have rarity levels: 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star. Before you can equip weapons, you’ll need to level up your character first.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins Weapons Tier List

This tier list is for the Global server and includes all weapons available since launch, including those you can craft. I’ve divided the weapons into four tiers: S, A, B, and D. To help new players understand how weapons work with different gear and elements, I’ve organized them by their weapon type. Here’s what the abbreviations mean: GS = Great Sword, DS = Dual Sword, A = Axe, LS = Long Sword, and W = Wand.

Tiers Weapon Sets Sole Weapon
Strong (S) Black Flame Wings Set Indomitable Guard GS, Gluttonous Soul LS, Eternal Grace DS, Ruler of the Forest A, Razorwind W
Good (A) Jet-Black Set,  Crimson Flame Set, Blazing Set Dark Clouds Enhancement Staff, Melody of Temptation Grimoire, Dead Spirit’s Breath Nunchaku
Average (B) Guardian’s Set, Corrupted Will Set,  Artisan’s Fine Set, Adventurer’s Set Chaos Song Rapier, Corrupted Will Gauntlets, Unyielding Spirit Lance
Bad (C) Pursuer Set, Blessed Set NA

Best S-tier Weapons in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins Overview

Black Flame Wings Set

The Black Flame Wings set is incredibly popular for maximizing damage output. It’s a great choice for almost any character you want to build as a primary damage dealer. These weapons significantly boost your attack power and critical hit rate when you use your burst ability, making it easier to deal a lot of damage with any character.

Indomitable Guard for Greatsword

As its name suggests, the Indomitable Guard is the ultimate blocking tool. If you’re comfortable blocking with weapons in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, the Indomitable Guard Greatsword will help you master it. Plus, when your character’s health gets low, it provides an even better blocking ability.

Gluttonous Soul for Longsword

The Gluttonous Soul is a weapon you should upgrade early in the game. It significantly increases your Darkness damage, and these boosts stack with each other, letting you quickly deal massive damage.

Eternal Grace for Dual Swords

Okay, so I’ve been testing out the Eternal Grace set, and it’s seriously good if you like to play tanks or anyone who needs to stay alive. When I equip the Eternal Grace Dual Swords, my character feels way more durable and can take a beating. The coolest part? The lower my health gets, the more healing I do! It’s a really solid build because it makes me tough on both offense and defense.

Ruler of the Forest for Axe

The Ruler of the Forest is a powerful weapon for damage-dealing characters, but it’s only effective as an Axe. If you want a weapon with strong base damage and a significant increase to Earth-based attacks, you should craft the Ruler of the Forest Axe as soon as possible.

Razorwind for Wand

As a fan, I can tell you the Razorwind wand is fantastic for anyone who likes to deal damage! It gives a huge boost to your attack power, and if your character uses Wind attacks, it makes them even stronger. Seriously, it’s a great choice if you’re building a DPS character who focuses on Wind!

Final Thoughts

Right now, the most popular strategies focus on the game’s newest characters. These characters are built to be powerful and deal a lot of damage, but they usually need specific, rare weapons to perform at their best. This means players are building more focused teams, and using a character without its ideal weapon greatly limits how well it works.
